Do you remember where you were on the day Princess Diana died?
The death of Princess Diana, affectionately referred to as 'Ar Di' by some notable characters who work here at LADbible Towers, is one of those moments in history where so many people remember the exact moment they heard the news.
Dear reader, I suspect I am one of the few exceptions as on the day the news broke I was in a car with a broken radio with my family on the way back from a holiday in Cornwall.

We had completely missed the news and spent several hours obliviously journeying through a grieving UK until we stopped for petrol and my dad noted the sombre atmosphere in the BP garage.
"Who died?" he said jokingly, and it was up to the bloke behind the till to explain the news that everyone else had already heard.
Most other people heard much sooner than I did, and many of them had rolling coverage going on in the house to keep up with developments.

One such fellow was Alan Light, who was playing UNO at home with his friends when his mum told him Princess Diana had been in a car crash.
Alan decided to try out his new camcorder and set it to record, but muted the TV so they could keep playing UNO without audible distraction.
As a result his camcorder footage captures a live and rather dramatic reaction to the tragic news.
Just seconds into the video the group of friends are in complete shock as it is confirmed that Princess Diana had died from her injuries.

Upon the tragic news, Alan's friend Ken is heard screaming out loudly to the shock news report, something that was real and not for the video's purpose.
Sadly, over the years, many have questioned the authenticity of the video and the friend's reactions - but this prompted Alan to take to the comments section of his YouTube video and address what actually happened while he was filming.
Alan wrote: "When my mom called me to say that Diana was in a car crash I turned on the TV, on silent, and we kept playing the game while monitoring the text on the bottom of the TV screen.

"When the screen text changed to 'Diana dead' the true reality of the situation hit like a ton of bricks, and we stopped playing UNO of course."
He added: "The guy who screams when he learns Diana has died is my friend Ken.
"It is his genuine reaction to the news of Diana's death."
