Rather than going to the effort of becoming an amateur sleuth if you've got suspicions that your partner might be playing away, you could always take heed of a private detective.
Sometimes, it's just better to leave it to the experts - and these investigators are already well aware of all the signs they need to look out for which suggests someone is cheating.
Aaron Bond, who works for Bond Rees Private Investigations, has plenty of experience following the breadcrumb trails of deceit left behind by love rats.

Now, he's decided to share his wealth of knowledge with the rest of us so that we can smell someone being unfaithful a mile off.
The private eye has revealed the four most common red flags which he believes indicate that your partner is having an affair behind your back.
The spark returns
At the beginning of most relationships, there's a lot of cringey emotions flying around - for example, you might think your connection is 'electric' and get butterflies in your stomach each time you see them.

But at some point, the honeymoon phase comes to an end and reality sets in, meaning you might start running into real obstacles with your partner.
However, if they suddenly start acting too lovey-dovey while you are going through a bit of a rough patch, Bond believes it might be a tactic to disguise their extra-marital activities.
"We’ve seen this a lot in our time as private investigators, a relationship doesn’t seem to have that spark anymore and then all of a sudden it does," he told the Huffington Post.
"While I’m sure sometimes this can be genuine as someone may be trying to fight to keep their relationship alive, in my experience, it’s often used to cover up their tracks of them cheating on you."

There's some right devious b***ards out there, clearly.
Multiple accounts
You might have heard of two-timers having another phone so it's easier to conceal their digital trail of deceit, but what about multiple email addresses and social media accounts?

According to the private detective, this is a huge hint that your other half might have another bit on the side.
"Cheaters sometimes have other phones that you may not know about, but they nearly always have additional emails and social media accounts you don’t know about," he explained.
"With additional accounts, they can hide everything from you, including their messages, naughty images and everything else in between.
"While it’s difficult to find if your partner has other accounts, what you may notice is that they almost become defensive around you with their phone.

"They may be cautious of opening certain apps or they may shield the phone away from you."
Changing travel arrangements
A lot of people have to travel a lot for work and can be sent all over the show for the needs of the business - but if your partner suddenly switches up their usual itinerary, it could be a red flag.
Cheaters have been using the excuse that they're 'working away' since the dawn of time, as you can't really argue with what they claim are their bosses demands.
And that's exactly why people are still using it today, the private detective says.
"Deceitful people will use the ruse of work to cover up their cheating tracks simply because it’s hard to prove otherwise," Bond explained.
"Have they all of a sudden started to stay late on a certain day or time of the month?
"What we find is that when people cheat they tend not to do it in their local area, and will go a few towns across so no one knows them and they can get away without being spotted.
"An overnight stay with work is a perfect alibi for this."
Cash is king
In this day and age, the majority of people are using contactless cards to make their purchases - but this is a bit of a problem for love rats.
Remember when Whitney Houston sang about finding those credit card receipts on 'It's Not Right But It's Okay'? Exactly.
If you're cheating on your partner, the last thing you want is a paper trail of it, so the only solution is to pay with cash instead.
Bond said that in his experience, if your beau suddenly starts using legal tender a lot more all of a sudden, it might suggest they are trying to conceal what - or who - they are spending money on.
He continued: "While using cash isn’t a red flag, if you have a joint account or have access to each other’s statements and you see more cash withdrawals than usual then it’s a sign that your partner is hiding something.
"Cheaters will often create fake expenses to account for these cash withdrawals and it’s often what gets them caught.
"Having to lie about where and when they spent their money can be difficult to remember and cheaters often get their stories mixed up."
