A Leicestershire resident has called for a man who keeps farting in front of their Ring doorbell to come clean. Watch the phantom farter in action here:
An anonymous poster in the Spotted Wigston Facebook page claimed the bespectacled chap has been continually letting off bum burps in front of their doorbell cam.
In a video evidencing this claim, the man can be seen staring into the camera with a straight face as he creeks out a sort of double guff, before grinning and nodding.
Captioning the post, they said: "This man keeps going to my Ring doorbell and farting and it's really unpleasant. Please own up."
But if the poster was expecting an outpouring of support from the local community they had another thing coming.
In fact, as you might expect, most people found the whole thing pretty amusing.
Commenting on the video - which has been viewed more than 7,600 times - one person said: "Funniest thing on Spotted [Wigston] for ages. We need more farting Ring videos."
Another added: "Wigston is the place to be."
A third said: "It's like the phantom raspberry blower from The Two Ronnies lol."
Here's hoping they actually do know who this doorstep farter is and they've got their own back on him by sharing his prank with the world.
I mean, surely a stranger isn't continually farting in front of someone's doorbell camera, right? Right?
It's tough to know these days, and the doorbells - made by Amazon - have caught plenty of weird goings-on in the past.
Last March, a guy sucked on a bottle in front of his mate's Ring doorbell - unaware his mum was watching on via her phone.
James Bowes always does 'something funny' when he gets to the home of Harry Cassells, but on this occasion he took things up a notch, before Harry's mum spoke through the front door camera.
"We can see you," she said, before laughing hysterically.
After the video predictably went viral, machinist James told LADbible: "The easiest way to explain what happened was I was going to Harry's for a few beers and I knew he had one of those Ring door bells but didn't realise his mam could see live what I was doing, which made it awkward.
"Harry's mam wasn't home luckily but she saw everything through the Ring door bell. Harry said she laughed about it but I refuse to meet her face to face as I'm now scarred for life."
