Getting a tattoo is a pretty big commitment. Whatever well-thought out (or completely random) thing you get inked on your body is there to stay.
With such permanence, the last thing you want to happen is for the tatt to go wrong.
And unfortunately for this woman, a boozy night out led to a pretty unfortunate looking tattoo on her arm.

Natalie Rene though it was a great idea to order a £50 DIY kit online and give it a go after having a few drinks with her mate in 2020.
The 35-year-old was hoping for a love heart with an arrow through it on her left forearm, but instead, she ended up with something ‘looking like a hairy penis’.
The Loughborough woman said: “We ended up going to the hospital because he tattooed so deep and it was bleeding and very sore.

"The doctor said it's very dangerous and I’m lucky I didn’t lose my arm because of how deep he tattooed it.”
She does have a couple others from that same night too, including a ‘weird spirally thing’ on her leg, a love heart on her hand, an arrow on her foot and ‘a semicolon thing’ on her wrist.
Natalie said: "Straight away after I woke up that morning I thought 'this isn’t how I pictured it' because I was drunk when I had them done - then the reality kicked in.

"My family were so angry and told me I was stupid and need to get rid of it.
"I was fuming about it but I will take accountability.”
And after living with the tattoos for three years, she ended up spending £1,350 to get the ‘hairy penis’ and everything but the heart covered up.

WOMAN IN TEARS AFTER TATTOO FAIL
She no longer speaks to the friend who did the tattoos, but she does still own the kit.
“I’m a bit of a hoarder, I still haven’t got rid of it," Natalie said.

“When me and my friends are a bit drunk, my friends tell me to get it out and I am like 'nope'.
“It’s never going to end well and it’s never going to look good.”
The arm tattoo caused her plenty of awkward moments with nurses ‘giggling’ when they saw it.
“The scar - from the arrow tattoo - is what makes it look like a penis,” she explained.
Over £1k down, she now doesn’t think the tattoo kits should be so simple to buy.
“It’s the stupidest thing but the easiest thing to get hold of,” Natalie added.
“I don’t know what possessed me to get them I wanted a time machine.”
