A man who splashed out a whopping £12,480 to become a human-sized rough collie says he’s ‘fulfilling his dream’ as he goes out for a walk on his leash.

The unnamed man, who uses the name Toco when he’s in dog-mode, has explained that it’s much more than just a case of dressing up like a pooch for fun.

The man, who lives in Japan, claims that has been something he’s dreamt about since his childhood and now, as an adult with enough cash to spend on an incredibly realistic dog suit, he’s now able to live how he wants.

He even treated himself to a giant dog crate to kip in, to help make the whole thing feel as real as possible.

Toco lives life as a collie.

In a new clip uploaded to his YouTube channel, he explains: “I became a dog and took a walk outside!

“I became a collie, fulfilling a dream I had since I was a little child to be an animal.”

In the clip, Toco can be seen ambling about indoors wearing a red collar and harness - before the time comes for him to go on his walkies.

“Today I am going to go outside and take a walk,” he continues. “I’m thrilled.”

Given that he’s not a natural quadruped, the whole thing takes a bit longer than a real collie would, but Toco is undeterred, making his way out of the cottage and onto the street.

After taking a gentle walk, Toco decides to head back home - and he doesn’t even stop to pee against a lamppost on the way.

Toco hit headlines last year, after the first clips of him inside his dog suit appeared online.

The specially-made costume was created by Zeppet, a Japanese company that creates sculptures and models for films.

Offering up a bit of an insight into the design process, the company said: "The point is that the skeleton of a dog can be reproduced on the skeleton of a human.

"Since the structure of the skeleton is very different, we spent a lot of time studying how to make it look like a dog."

They added: "In addition, we collect photographs taken from various angles so that the beautiful coat of the collie can be reproduced and devised so that the coat will flow naturally."

But while he’s living his best life, the man has previously admitted that he is worried his pals will think he’s ‘weird’, which is why he’s chosen to keep his human identity secret.

Speaking to The Mirror, Toco, explained: "I rarely tell my friends because I am afraid they will think I am weird. My friends and family seemed very surprised to learn I became an animal."
