A man ended up immediately regretting his decision to jump onto a roof after doing a spot of parkour.
TikToking parkour expert Adam Marr posted a video of a mistake he'd recently made while traversing the roofs of Manchester.
Adam explained that he'd been running across the rooftops when a sign warned him: "Danger: Fragile Roof."

He took it to be 'more like a challenge than a warning' but soon came to regret his decision after making a jump into trouble.
Spotting another roof to jump to, Adam wasn't sure whether he wanted to make the leap as the roof was wet.
The parkourer spent 10 seconds debating the wisdom of the jump before leaping across the gap and experiencing instant regret at making the wrong decision.

While he'd been worried about the wet roof what he really needed to look out for was the muddy surface.
Adam landed just fine on the other side but his shoes were covered in mud and became incredibly slippery, a disaster for anyone doing parkour where not slipping and falling is basically a matter of life and death.
Stuck on the roof and not trusting his shoes with another jump, Adam showed in his video that his friend decided not to follow him onto the muddy roof after seeing what a palaver he'd landed himself in.
The only way was down for Adam, who could choose to slide down 'slightly cracked glass' or clamber along a 'slippery metal ledge'.

With neither of those options sounding particularly appealing he decided to trust solid metal over already broken glass and shuffled very slowly along the ledge until he was at the lowest point of the building's roof.
As he shimmied down the metal ledge he spotted that he was leaving 'wet patches on the metal' and had 'never moved so slow on a roof'.
With nowhere else to go Adam judged that he still daren't risk the drop down to the pavement and since he didn't want to be 'sliding straight to A&E' he needed to take another risk.

Lowering himself down onto a wall-mounted light which he prayed would hold his weight Adam was able to get down low enough to drop onto the street and away from the roof.
While the people who do it are very adept at jumping across the rooftops there's no doubt that parkour is incredibly dangerous, with some daredevils having near-miss experiences or losing their lives altogether.
If you want to learn parkour Adam does actually teach it at the Manchester Parkour Academy, though by now you'll already have learned a lesson about the dangers of having muddy trainers.
