A man filmed himself calling a poison control hotline to attempt to find out whether his girlfriend was going to be OK after she accidentally brushed her teeth with Deep Heat.
Check the video out for yourself.
It’s a pretty stupid thing to do, but these sorts of mistakes are easy enough done if you’re tired and perhaps not paying the keenest attention to what you are doing.

If you don’t have a story like this already, you definitely will at some stage.
On this occasion, the punchline of the tale is a woman called Mia, who had to ask her boyfriend Lyon to call up the professionals and find out whether she was in trouble after getting distracted and putting Deep Heat muscle rub into her mouth via her toothbrush.
According to the caption, she became distracted by a conversation about the new Netflix Beckham documentary, which led to the mishap.

The conversation went like this.
“Thank you for calling the Hawaii Poison Control Center, my name is Donna.
“Can I have your name please?”
The man responds: “Hi Donna, this is Lyon.”

“Hey Lyon, how can I help you?” Donna asked.
“I’m good – I’m with my girlfriend right here, she’s OK, she can talk [Mia then said hello as well].
“Um, she accidentally brushed her teeth with like a Deep Heat Icy Hot that looked identical to her Colgate toothpaste.”
Then, the video cut away to show that – in actual fact – the two tubes really do look quite alike.

They are both red, they are both about the same size.
You could see how if you weren’t concentrating, you might make the mistake.
Needless to say, loads of people in the comments are queuing up to have a laugh with the pair.
To be fair to them, they seem to have found things pretty funny themselves.

One person wrote: “The way I wouldn’t even think to call poison control and just wait to see if I die or not.”
Another person said: “You know I can’t even hate because I mistaked [sic] nail glue for eye drops one time.”
A lot of people have quite rightly pointed out that the tops of the two receptacles are completely different, with one flipping open at the top and the other screwing off.
Well, at least it brought Mia back into the comments to confirm that she hadn’t – in fact – died or suffered horrendous injury from the Deep Heat.
Responding to one comment, she simply stated: “This is not my proudest moment.”
Hey, we all have them.
If this is your most shameful moment, you’re doing OK.
