A woman addicted to Marmite on toast has managed to turn her life around after she thought she was 'going to die'.
While addiction can take any shape or form, a Marmite on toast addiction is certainly a less common one - but it's one that has impacted Simone Robertson's life massively.
At the height of her addiction, the 32-year-old would have 12 slices of toast smothered in her favourite condiment a day, tipping the scales at 28 stone as a result.

Due to her eating habits, doctors told her that she had life-threatening cirrhosis of the liver due to her weight.
After two difficult pregnancies, Robertson - from Brandon, West Suffolk - continued to pile on the pounds and would use savoury snacks as comfort food.
Alongside the Marmite on toast, the mum-of-two was also addicted to white carbs, including potatoes, bread and cheese.

At her worst, Robertson would scoff half a loaf of bread per day.
The excessive eating was affecting Robertson's life in every single way, to the point where she could 'barely able to go up a few steps'.
Robertson even had to ring her mum Tammy once to ask her for a lift while on the school run as she was in 'too much pain'.
After being diagnosed with terminal liver failure in July 2021, doctors recommended for Robertson to have weight loss surgery to prolong her life.

But the mum was determined to lose the weight by herself, no matter how difficult her husband baker made it with his sweet treats.
And in just 18 months, Robertson lost over 16 stone by swapping out the carbs and the processed food for lean meats and fresh vegetables.
Robertson now tips the scales at 11st 6lbs after her impressive weight loss journey.

The mum said: ''I can't actually believe the difference it has made to my life.
''I thought I was going to die but the doctors are amazed as scans show my liver is pretty much back to full health.
''I'd tried dieting for years and had no luck, nothing seemed to work for me but reaching rock bottom I just knew I had to stick at it this time.
She continued: ''I had to be around for my kids and my husband.

''It was hard giving up all the foods I loved, toast is literally my favourite food in the whole world, but it was worth it.
''I now steer clear of anything processed and only eat good, fresh healthy meals. People literally don't recognise me now."
After receiving the surprising diagnosis, Robertson began an exercise routine alongside her new diet.
And within just weeks, she noticed the pounds dropping: "I can't believe how far I've come in just 18 months," she said.
''I literally thought I wouldn't see my kids grow up at one point.
''I could barely do the school run and now look at me. I love walking and being active with my kids now.
''It's transformed our lives."
