A radio host accidentally confirmed his colleague's pregnancy live on air in an incredibly awkward blunder.
Accidentally revealing a secret is bad enough in itself, but live on air to potentially hundreds of listeners? Ouch.
This is exactly what happened to sports presenter Max Burford, who was left red-faced when he revealed colleague Taylee's pregnancy on Adelaide’s Mix 102.3, completely unaware she had not personally announced the happy news herself.
Max and co-host Ali Clarke were discussing ruining surprises when the accidental announcement occurred.

The Australian radio host was recalling how he had guessed TV reporter Taylee was pregnant while at recent work drinks, when Ali pointed out he was ruining the surprise live on the radio.
He explained that Taylee had been debating what soft drink to order when he suggested she have a seltzer, but she quickly rejected this alcoholic option.
This then prompted Max to speculate she was pregnant, and she quietly confirmed the news.
Ali pointed out Max was now telling the public, saying: "Now you’re saying it on the radio!" but he said Taylee's pregnancy was already 'public knowledge'.

However, a producer and pal of Taylee then awkwardly jumped in to inform the pair that Taylee had not announced the news.
"Sorry I’m button pushing here, I’m one of her good friends and she has not told me," the producer said.
Clearly aware of his huge blunder, Max attempted to move on with the show and asked listeners: "Just helping the cause, just helping out our phone calls… Hey, have you guys ever ruined any surprises?"

The TV reporter shared an adorable photo of her with her husband, with the happy couple holding up a blue and white checked baby grow - prompting speculation that the pair are expecting a baby boy.
"Buns and choccies have been forced to share the belly this year (which has been no issue). Mini Paley due August," the mum-to-be excitedly penned.
Taylee's post was met with dozens of congratulatory messages and well wishes on social media, proving Max's blunder didn't overshadow her announcement after all.
