Billie Eilish has said she's 'physically attracted' to women in a new interview.

Speaking to Variety, she said that for much of her life she thought other women didn't like her and that she 'never really felt like I could relate to girls very well'.

However, she then went on to say that she was attracted to women.

She explained: "I love them so much. I love them as people. I’m attracted to them as people. I’m attracted to them for real.

"I have deep connections with women in my life, the friends in my life, the family in my life.

"I’m physically attracted to them. But I’m also so intimidated by them and their beauty and their presence."

Elsewhere in the interview the award-winning singer talked about the experience of performing the song 'What Was I Made For?' which featured in the Barbie movie.

She said that she found it 'so moving' for the song to get the reception it did and become a TikTok trend which over a million people made videos about.

"I feel like I helped bring people together, and it felt so special. I wasn’t expecting to have women around the world feel connected," Eilish said of the impact 'What Was I Made For?' had.

Eilish also spoke about her feelings regarding people's opinions of her body.

Speaking about her earlier style - which was mostly oversized, baggy clothing - she said: "I didn’t want people to have access to my body, even visually. I wasn’t strong enough and secure enough to show it."

She added: "I’ve never felt like a woman, to be honest with you. I’ve never felt desirable. I’ve never felt feminine.

"I have to convince myself that I’m, like, a pretty girl.

"I identify as ‘she/her’ and things like that, but I’ve never really felt like a girl."

In addition to her much lauded singing ability, Eilish has also shown she has acting chops as well, with her fans impressed by her appearance in the show Swarm.

Eilish had previously been in a relationship with Jesse Rutherford, though the couple appeared to call time on being a couple in May.

She's also a huge fan of The Office, having featured a scene from the show in one of her songs and claimed she's watched the whole thing through about 30 times.

The singer also had a bit of a fear of the rapper Eminem when she was younger, which prompted him to include a lyric about 'giving nightmares' to her in one of his tracks.
