Arnold Schwarzenegger has admitted that his historic rivalry with fellow bodybuilding movie star, Sylvester Stallone, got a bit ‘out of control’ at one stage. Schwarzenegger went on to explain how they started to ‘derail each other’.
Obviously, both went on to have absolutely stellar careers, but at one stage they genuinely didn’t like each other and would even attempt to one-up each other - whilst throwing in little bits of sabotage to their respective careers.

Now, Arnie has addressed the longstanding feud with Stallone on an episode of The Graham Norton Show, which aired last night on BBC One.
Speaking to the host about his long time in the movie world, Schwarzenegger admitted that the pair would try to compete with one another during their action film careers, as well as aiming digs at each other in the press.
The good news is that now the pair are ‘inseparable’ after having worked together on flicks like The Expendables and Escape Plan.

Schwarzenegger said: “We were movie rivals, but we took the competitiveness to the extreme – we each had to have the best body, we had to kill more people in our films, and we had to have the biggest guns.
“It got out of control, and we tried to derail each other.
“Then, when we both invested in Planet Hollywood, we started flying around the world together to promote it and we became fantastic friends.
“He is a great human being, and we are now inseparable.”

Schwarzenegger carved out a career for himself in politics, becoming the Governor of California along the way.
Despite the fact that he’s not eligible to become the President of the USA because he was born in Austria – only gaining his American citizenship in 1983 – he said he can ‘see so clearly’ how he would win his way to the White House if he was allowed.
He admitted that it would be a ‘no brainer’ for him to run, too.
Speaking on podcast Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace? back in June, Schwarzenegger was asked: “The Constitution says that the President has to be a natural born US citizen.

“If not for that, would you have run for president?”
He responded: “Well, yes, of course,
“I mean, I think the field was wide open in 2016.

“And I think the field is open right now.
“I mean, think about it right now. I mean, who is there?
“There is really not a person that can bring everyone together,
“Who is here today that people say okay, he’s not too old or he’s not too this or too that, or is that because it’s now a question about who do you vote against than who do you vote for.”
Well, Sly is eligible to run, so why not back that bid, Arnie?
