Liam Gallagher has revealed he is on a health kick to 'undo years of partying' amid health issues, admitting he's on a 'downwards slide'.
The 51-year-old is well known for his rock and roll lifestyle back in the day but nowadays he’s living a very different life.
Last year, the Oasis singer underwent a hip operation due to arthritis as a result of a long-running thyroid issue.

Back in 2017, Gallagher was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s disease which is an autoimmune disease where your body makes antibodies that attack the cells in your thyroid.
Symptoms of that include tiredness and muscle weakness, and the star also suffers with the skin condition, psoriasis. So, it’s fair to say he’s been through it.
And now, after years of taking drugs and hitting the booze, Gallagher’s undergone a ‘health trip'.
He told The Sun: “You've got to undo all the bad work you've done through f***ing getting off your head and all that.

“It’s time to undo it all now and get back to reality. All that stuff you thought was cool in the early days… it’s time to get healthy.”
Gallagher’s health kick has him getting up at the early hour of 4.00am every day and cutting back on alcohol, drugs and cigarettes.
“As you get older, life is precious, do you know what I mean?” the star explained. “When you are younger you don’t care. ‘I’m a thinker’

“But as you get older, you’re getting closer to wherever you’re meant to be going.”
The ‘Mars to Liverpool’ singer added that he ‘loves’ waking up so early in the morning.
“Round about six or seven I start nodding off. But early doors I’m up four o’clock in the morning — come on!”

Although, it’s not like he’s doing the typical ‘morning routine’ of some stars in the early hours as he revealed he actually does ‘nothing’ at that time. “Just sit around at the end of the bed thinking. I’m a thinker,” he said. Fair enough.
When Gallagher had his hip op, he had to cut back on the jogging which he’d made a key part of his fitness routine.
"My hips are fed. I’ve got arthritis, bad. I went to get it checked out and my bones are mashed up,” he said.
“I can’t sleep at night for the pain. Tossing and turning. So I’m on herbal sleeping tablets and they’ve saved my life.

"One of them, seven hours out, no pain. I’m definitely on the downwards slide, though. But we’re all going to die, aren’t we?”
Well, there’s a cheery thought for a Sunday.
