Oasis fans were buzzing last year when the band made their second appearance on the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame shortlist. Once again, however, the brothers failed to secure their spot in the Hall of Fame.
Instead, the list of performers to be inducted includes, The White Stripes, Soundgarden, Cyndi Lauper and Outkast, among others, the BBC reports.
But Liam Gallagher isn't looking back in anger about it, as he responded to Oasis' nomination in February over X: "RNR hall of fame is for W***ERS'.

And considering the upcoming Oasis reunion tour later this year, it's safe to say that Oasis are certainly not has-beens.
However, Liam's distaste for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame isn't something he's shied away from over the years.

Last year, the musician has previously called the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 'a load of bollox' and stated: “I don’t need some w**k award by some geriatric in a cowboy hat.”
You might think that he's just being bitter for losing his spot to Outkast, but I'm sorry miss Jackson, this dude's for real.

The singer-songwriter responded to the news of the bands nomination by saying “F**k the Rock n Roll hall of fame its full of BUMBACLARTS LG x.”
If like me you had to Google 'bumbaclart'. Let me save you the trouble, it is slang for menstrual pads or toilet paper. Nice, Liam.
While Liam and Noel's feud seems to have come to an end, back in 2024, Liam said that he suspected his brother would likely be attending the ceremony, in the usual sarcastically amusing way we've come to know and love from Liam.

When the final inductees were announced and Oasis were not among them, fans online were quick to react.
Some called it a disgrace, while others pointed out Liam's comments and distaste for the ceremony.
In fact, not only had Liam previously blasted it, he had also asked fans to vote for other nominees, like Mariah Carey, adding: "She smashed it."

Even with Liam being loud and proud when it comes to showing off his dislike for the ceremony, it appears that's not what he's focused on when it comes to receiving recognition for Oasis's accomplishments in the world of rock and roll.

Following their nomination this year, a fan then asked him what his 'beef' with it is, adding: "Ye deserve to be recognised though?"
To which Liam responded: "We’ve already been recognised by the people [who mean] more to me than any award."
In an interview with the Sunday Times last year, he added that he's 'done more for rock n’ roll than half of them clowns on that board'.
Fans might not get to see Liam and Noel make their way in to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, but with the reunion tour set to kick off in July, it's going to be a short lived blow for fans that have waited over a decade for the brothers to reunite on stage.
