The reason why a Britain’s Got Talent act was pulled from a live semi-final at the last minute has been revealed.
The Simon Cowell-led talent show has hit the serious end of the competition, with live semi-finals featuring acts facing off against each other for a place in the final.
The most recent show, however, did not go to plan as one act was heavily delayed and another had to pull out altogether, leaving iconic presenting duo Ant and Dec shocked.

Teddy Magic, an eight-year-old magician, was set to be the first act to perform in the live TV semi-final, following a performance from the Tina Turner musical.
But viewers were left confused when Ant and Dec came out and announced the magician was not yet ready and they would instead chat to the judges, with Dec adding: “We're going to have a little change of plan… Just while he gets himself ready and composed backstage.”

It was later announced that the eight-year-old would not be performing that night but that they hoped he would be able to appear for a later semi-final show.
RadioTimes was the first to report that the change came after a ‘last minute issue with the performance’, leading the Britain’s Got Talent team to delay his act.

Teddy was not the only act to be met with backstage drama that delayed their performance, as dance group The Blackouts were also announced to be facing a delay in performing their act.

Dec said: “You’re not going to believe this, but they’re not quite ready.”
Though the group, who dance with LED lights, did end up performing eventually.
The chaos led viewers to comment on how the judges seemingly did not have a clue what was going on.
Following the delay by Teddy, Simon Cowell’s golden buzzer act, Vinnie McKee, came out to perform.

Clearly still thinking about the delay to the eight-year-old magician Amanda Holden referred to him as ‘Teddy’, leading one viewer to tweet: “What a shambles. Doesn’t even know the names of the acts.”
It also led to others, who were speculating about Teddy’s last minute pull out of the show, to share their concern about young acts performing live.
One tweeted: “BGT need to stop having young kids as acts in the live finals ….way to much pressure it’s just not fair on them.”
Others however simply praised the quick thinking of Ant and Dec to fill the time while plans were being changed.

One viewer posted: “I hope Teddy is okay.
"Ant & Dec yet again prove their professionalism, knowing how to fill up the void and get the show going when things don’t go to plan.”
