There are a few unlikely friendships in the celebrity sphere which often come as a surprise to music fans.
Take Sir Elton John and Eminem for example - they're chalk and cheese, but for some reason, it works.
It works so well that the pair have enjoyed a decades-long friendship...which has involved the exchange of some pretty strange presents.

Take a look at this:
We can all fondly recall their iconic duet on stage at the 2001 Grammy Awards, where the Rocket Man sang Dido's legendary lyrics to Stan - which was a result of him putting his neck on the line for the rapper.
Although his career was going from strength to strength, Eminem was also receiving a lot of backlash at the time for his controversial bars which were deemed homophobic by listeners.

He refuted these claims but protest groups had already started threatening to boycott the awards, prompting the 8 Mile star to put an ultimatum on the table.
Slim Shady told MTV News at the time: "I was like, 'The only way I'll perform at the Grammys is with Elton John'. And I was saying it in kind of jest, thinking it would never happen. The idea of it started becoming more, 'OK, this is a way to really flip it around and really f*** people's heads up.'"
And that's exactly what it did - Elton's public backing of the star and their performance, which followed certainly made quite the statement, as well as marking the start of a firm and fast friendship between the two.

He discussed the origins of his alliance with Eminem during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show back in 2017, as well as giving fans an update on how it had evolved over the years.
The Brit music legend was sat on the sofa alongside Carey Mulligan, Stephen Fry, and Pink while he explained how he thought accusations that Eminem was homophobic were 'nonsense'.
Elton said: "I came out and supported the fact that he isn't [homophobic] and I appeared on the Grammys with him doing Stan. Instead of Dido, I did the Dido part.
"I was the one who took the L out of Dido," he then joked.

"We became friends and we've been amazing friends ever since. He's an amazing guy, I interviewed him last week for a magazine. I just adore him," Elton added.
Talk show host Graham Norton then prompted him to reveal what bizarre gift he received from Eminem after celebrating his civil partnership with David Furnish in December 2005.
Elton recalled: "I got this package from Eminem, which shows you how homophobic he isn't.

"We had two diamond encrusted c*ck rings on velvet cushions. I have to say, they have remained unused."
I mean, you can tell Eminem put some serious thought into that.
The Bennie And The Jets singer said they were 'wonderful to look at' but 'sacrosanct' - meaning that they are too valuable to whip out in the bedroom even if he wanted to.
I dread to think what Elton received from Eminem when he officially tied the knot with David in 2014 once same-sex marriage was legalised in the UK.
