Former child actor Haley Joel Osment has said there is 'no excuse' for his behaviour after he was arrested just last week at a ski resort, which saw him exhibit bad behaviour.
The 37-year-old has been largely out of the limelight for decades after becoming a beloved onscreen character in films such as The Sixth Sense, Pay it Forward and Bogus, and now he’s making headlines for all the wrong reasons.
According to the Mono County District Attorney's office, Osment was arrested for alleged public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance at a ski lodge in Mammoth Lakes on Thursday 17 April and he was then charged with possession of cocaine and disorderly conduct.

Osment is the older brother of 33-year-old Hannah Montana star Emily Osment.

He was just 10 when he filmed his career defining role in The Sixth Sense, which saw him nominated for an Oscar, a Golden Globe, and a Screen Actors Guild award.
Since his gigs as a kid, he has since appeared in the gory horror Tusk, comedy film Sex Ed, and the 2019 biographical Ted Bundy crime-drama Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile among TV work.
Aside from his gigs, Osment was one of the many celebrities who lost their homes in the LA wildfires.

While you may not have heard from him for a while, this latest news comes as a shock to his fanbase, who grew up watching his films.
After being arrested and booked, his arraignment was scheduled for 7 June and the child star has since opened up about the ‘disgraceful language’ he used to a police officer while being arrested, which bodycam footage revealed to be an antisemitic slur.
As per a statement to People, Osment said: "I’m absolutely horrified by my behaviour. Had I known I used this disgraceful language in the throes of a blackout, I would have spoken up sooner.”
Referencing the loss of his home, he continued: “The past few months of loss and displacement have broken me down to a very low emotional place."
Osment lost his home in the Altadena, California in January.

He added: "But that’s no excuse for using this disgusting word. From the bottom of my heart, I apologize to absolutely everyone that this hurts. What came out of my mouth was nonsensical garbage - I’ve let the Jewish community down and it devastates me.
"I don’t ask for anyone’s forgiveness, but I promise to atone for my terrible mistake."
According to bodycam footage and People, Osment can be seen being arrested and repeating the words, ‘I'm being attacked’ before telling officers ‘I'm an American’ when asked for his name.
He was then searched, where a $20 note was found on his person, before putting him in the car.

The officer then discovered an unknown substance inside of the note and told those around the scene to ‘be careful’.
A police source told the publication that the ‘controlled substance’ Osment was detained for possessing ‘is presumed to be cocaine. We sent it for testing. We will have the results soon.’
As for what he did to be arrested, footage shows witnesses telling police that bar staff cut off the actor from having any more alcohol after he spilled his drink, which led to him becoming ‘aggravated’ as he then attempted to hop on a ski lift.
That’s when employees refused him entry to the lift and called police for backup.
The footage shows Osment inside of the car stating: "I'm being kidnapped by a f**king Nazi."
