Hugh Jackman shared a surprise gift with Marvel boss Kevin Feige as a thank-you for launching his career in Hollywood.
Yesterday (25 July) the MCU producer received one of the highest honours of the entertainment industry – a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Wolverine star Jackman, 55, who recently worked alongside Feige on Deadpool & Wolverine, was in attendance at the event and presented the producer with a very touching, if a little unusual, gift to mark the occasion.

During the ceremony, Aussie actor Jackman gave a speech on Feige's behalf and presented him with a unique gift to mark the occasion.
And how does an A-list actor thank an industry leading producer for all of his help you ask? With a voucher for steak, of course.
Now, the gift may not sound like much to me and you, but the gesture actually has a much deeper meaning. One that goes all the way back to the pair's first meeting 25 years ago.

"There are many things that make Kevin a success but above all he knows that to make a great movie, you need a great story," the actor began.
"And I have one to share today that I think I might be uniquely qualified in telling."
Jackman went on to recall his 'Kevin Feige origin story', which occurred when he was flown over to audition for the part of Wolverine in 2000's X-Men.
Upon arriving, Jackman was met with double disappointment; the role been given to Dougray Scott and the movie had started filming, which meant it was pretty much impossible for him to get the role.

"Everybody knew I wasn't going to get the part because there just wasn't a part to be had," he explained.
Despite there being no role to offer Jackman completed his audition anyway, which earnt him the offer of a lift to the airport from Feige and a spot of dinner along the way.
Recalling how he felt at that moment, Jackman continued: "I just remember thinking to myself 'this is a class act', he does not have to do this. He took the time to take care of me and I will never, ever forget it."

The encounter would later change Jackman's life forever, as Scott would later drop out of the Wolverine role - the rest, as they say, is history.
Feige's kindness didn't end there either, with the producer then sharing his personal collection of X-Men comic books with Jackman to help him prepare for the part.
"From those days of a free steak... Here we are, 25 years later. This is kind of full circle-moment. So is there any way I can show my affection for this man today," Jackman said to the crowd before reaching into his pocket and unveiling a voucher for the very same restaurant.

"I honestly would go with you, but I’m kind of a massive movie star now [so] it would not look good for me," he added, as Feige tearfully accepted the gift.
