Fans of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! got a bit of a surprise yesterday (25 November) as the campmates celebrated the birthday of new jungle arrival Maura Higgins.
She and the Reverend Richard Coles were both late additions to this year's I'm A Celeb lineup as they entered the jungle together, only to learn they'd have to stay in a separate spot called the 'junkyard'.
However, while at first it did seem to be a bit of a dingy locale to live in it soon transpired that there were a bunch of built-in secret compartments including a bath and pull-out bed.

The pair were then tasked with pulling the wool over the eyes of their campmates, including a segment where they were pouring offal over Melvin Odoom but had to pretend they were going through the same ordeal.
Fans have been loving the twist, but in yesterday's episode Higgins surprised many viewers as she woke up to birthday celebrations and those watching learned she'd just turned 34.
Needless to say, this prompted some people to react with shock as they absorbed this new information.

"MAURA IS 34? I THOUGHT SHE WAS MY AGE," exclaimed someone on social media who we can only assume is not yet 34.
Others said they 'would never have thought Maura was 34', proclaiming that 'she looks much younger' and that they 'thought she was like 27 at MOST'.
Someone else said they 'thought she was about 22/23', and given she had been a contestant on Love Island in 2019 that would have been quite problematic.
While people couldn't quite decide exactly what age she was supposed to look like the guesses were largely confined to somewhere in the 20s, meaning that whatever skincare routine she's got going on is working well.

The dynamic duo of Coles and Higgins (which sounds like a good name for a detective drama) is already winning over plenty of I'm A Celeb viewers despite their late entry into the jungle.
They've got to make up a lot of ground on the popularity front compared to pretty much everyone else but they're doing a spectacular job with their antics.
Since she entered the jungle, Higgins regaled her campmates with tales of how she got revenge on an ex, saying she went through their phone and realised she didn't really know them.

Waiting until he went to the gym the next day she told her campmates she 'got his toothbrush and I filmed myself scrubbing' his toilet, while on the same day he had a dentist appointment.
