Capital FM has officially announced that Jordan North will be joining them as the host of their breakfast show.
It's pretty much the worst kept secret in radio that after the sudden announcement of his imminent departure from BBC Radio 1 he was going to Capital's breakfast show.
Suspicions only grew after Roman Kemp said he was going to be leaving Capital shortly after North's announcement, leaving many listeners in no doubt that a game of musical chairs was going on.

Now Capital has today (21 February) officially confirmed that Jordan is joining them.
Departing host Roman Kemp, who on Monday (19 February) announced he would have just six weeks remaining at Capital, made the announcement on his show by introducing Jordan to his listeners.
He said: "You are going to absolutely love this Jordan. I have so much faith in you mate.

"It’s hard leaving, it feels like your child, but you want it to go into good hands and I know with you it’s going to be just that. Everyone, send as much love as possible to Jordan."
For now Jordan is still a Radio 1 presenter, but he'll be leaving his role on 4 March and if Roman is only in at Capital for six more weeks then the switchover will be at the beginning of April.
Jordan said: "I am beyond excited to be joining Global and to wake up the nation every morning on Capital - I can't wait to start working with the amazing team here and get stuck in, to create the most fun and entertaining breakfast show.
"Getting to host Capital Breakfast has always been a dream of mine and it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity that I simply couldn’t turn down."

In addition to the breakfast show he will also be hosting Capital's summertime ball this year.
He'll be working alongside Chris Stark and Sian Welby who also welcomed him to Capital and said they were really excited to be working with him.
"I’m buzzing for this amazing opportunity to be reunited with Jordan on the radio again," Stark said of the shake-up to the breakfast show.

"Together with Sian, the three of us are so excited to bring you the new Capital Breakfast Show. It’s going to be a LOT of fun!"
Sian said: "I can’t wait for Jordan to join Chris and I in the mornings! The Capital Breakfast show has always been about genuine friendship and honest conversation and that’s why I know the Capital audience are going to love Jordan in the same way they do Roman.
"He’s a normal down to earth, humble lad, who’s already part of our friendship group, so expect the same level of mickey taking and silliness. I want the listeners to welcome him with open arms, and treat him like they do us!
"Jordan has some of the most ridiculous true stories that I can’t wait for people to hear. It’s going to be a lot of fun! Strap yourselves in, it’s gonna be another wild ride!"

Capital's managing editor Brent Tobin called Jordan an 'absolute star' who had a 'winning combination of a flair for live radio and a deep connection with the audience'.
