People have been split over Kelly Clarkson after she opened up about what she likes to do in the shower from time to time.
She was chatting with Saturday Night Live star Keenan Thompson on her show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, when the conversation turned towards her time saving method for taking a shower.
A very normal line of conversation on television, I know.

Anyway, as it turns out, she likes to bring her toothbrush into the shower and clean her teeth while having a wash.
This naturally saves time in a busy day, but plenty thought the shower was no place for an implement such as the toothbrush to venture.
She said: "Here's the thing, I don't regularly brush my teeth in the shower. I just do if I'm in a hurry. Now, I do happen to be in a hurry often."

Thompson reassured her it was 'fine' and 'where you are in the world' before telling her: "I'm on the whole other side, where I find it to be gross."
People were pretty split over whether this was 'gross' behaviour or actually iconic.
"Go get in the shower and somebody's toothbrush is in here? I'm so concerned," one wrote of the idea that the shower was a zone for cleaning the teeth as well as the body.
Someone else insisted that the place to brush one's teeth was 'at the sink not the shower'.

Others said they loved their 'unfiltered queen' and agreed that it was more 'productive' to brush teeth in the shower.
Another said it led to 'maximum efficiency' while a third admitted that they were 'always running late' and thus found shower time to be the perfect moment to brush their teeth.
Many people said the only time a toothbrush belonged in the shower was as a cleaning implement.

Obviously, you'd want to use an old toothbrush and certainly not the one you'd reach for in the event of cleaning your teeth.
As for what they spoke about next, Clarkson said she also pees in the shower pretty much every time she's in there.
As for proper medical advice, since your shower is an area which ferments bacteria growth, it's advised not to keep your toothbrush in there.
If you really must brush your teeth in the shower then at least don't leave it in there for bacteria to infect the bristles and be spread to your teeth the next time you give your chompers a scrub-a-dub-dub.
