Lily Allen spoke out about sleeping with TV star at a 'very young' age

Lily Allen spoke out about sleeping with TV star at a 'very young' age

Singer Lily Allen discussed her teenage encounter with the celeb on her Miss Me? podcast

Lily Allen revealed that she had a rendezvous with a TV star when she was 'very young'... which she doesn't look back on fondly.

The London-born singer, 39, opened up about the encounter during an episode of her Miss Me? podcast, which she hosts alongside her best pal, presenter Miquita Oliver.

The duo discuss all sorts on their show which sees them have a 'transatlantic catch-up' twice a week, and often talk about current affairs, showbiz and most interestingly, their experiences in the industry.

Allen isn't shy about sharing some hilarious stories from her colourful past, such as what she and Lindsay Lohan got up to after a night on the tiles in Hollywood, or 'sabotaging' her friendship with Miquita by purposely sleeping with her best friend's celebrity crush.

But the artist took a much more serious approach when she reflected on her inappropriate (on his behalf) liaison with a bloke off the telly when she was just a teenager.

She didn't name the man in question, however, she did reveal that he had quite a questionable taste in music.

On the Miss Me? episode which originally aired in April of this year, Allen explained: "I'm not going to say this person's name, but you know that TV star that I had sex with when I was very young?

"When I went to his hotel, he put on the Moby album.

"And I cannot, if it comes on I'm just like... it was that period of time and he thought it was so cool."

Allen also seemed to allude to this tryst with the TV star in her book, My Thoughts Exactly, which was published back in 2018. Although she didn't outright confirm she was referring to the same celebrity.

The 'Smile' singer explained in her memoir that she had watched the mystery man compete in a charity football match before they had sex in his hotel when she was 14 years old.

She wrote: "After the match, the TV star left his football gear in my dad's car, and I was dispatched to his hotel to return it.

"We arranged to meet in the bar there. He bought me a couple of drinks, then took me up to his room and had sex with me.

"I was 14. He was 19, but to me he seemed like someone from a different generation. Afterwards, I felt funny about it.

"I knew what had happened wasn't right."

Allen previously opened up about the first time she had sex, which resulted in her dad, Welsh actor Keith Allen, calling the police.

The songstress explained that she was enjoying a trip to Brazil with her family when she met a man called Fernando and ended up spending the night with him.

But as she fell asleep in his room and forgot to sneak back in before her dad realised, Keith was left in quite the panic and jumped to the conclusion that his daughter had drowned.

Allen explained: "My dad woke up the next day, went to go and check on me and I wasn't in the room and there was a full-on panic.

"I woke up, left Fernando's room and I came out and it was literally like an episode of the Brazilian The Bill, there were police everywhere.

"And my dad was like in pieces, they'd found like a T-shirt that looked like the T-shirt that I was wearing hanging on a twig on the beach and they thought I'd drowned.

"So I didn't have sex again for a while. And I certainly didn't surrender that information, I wasn't like 'Oh sorry Dad, I was just losing my virginity to a 21-year-old called Fernando'."

Since 2020, Allen has been married to Stranger Things star David Harbour.

The couple eloped in Las Vegas in a ceremony which also included Allen’s two daughters, Ethel, 12, and Marnie, 11, who she shares with her first husband, Sam Cooper.
