Paddy McGuinness reckons he knows what, or rather who, ‘distracted’ Luke Littler from winning last night (3 January).
The 16-year-old lost to Luke Humphries in the PDC World Darts Championship final at London’s Ally Pally.
Just a teen, he is the youngest person to ever make it so far though the competition.

Littler has now rocketed in fame and climbed up 130 places to become one of the world’s top 32 darts players.
Humphries took a 7-4 victory in the final, leaving the lad as runner up.
The ‘Nuke’ said after the loss: “It’s been unbelievable. The one negative was that I lost too many legs with my throw. That’s the only negative, I couldn’t hold my own throw, and I didn’t win."

He also revealed this morning that his mind had gone blank right before missing a crucial dart.
But McGuinness thinks it was something else that cause Littler to miss out on the record-breaking win.
The former Top Gear star took to Instagram to reveal he was ‘gutted’ for the lad.

“But Humphries, he was monstrous over the last few legs, deserves to win the Championship” he said. “Littler, he’ll be back next year.”
The comedian then went on to give his take on what distracted the teen.
“I’ve got to be honest, I’m blaming those cheerleaders at the top – who though it was a good idea to roll out a troop of cheerleaders while there’s a 16-year-old lad on stage?
“He had to play the first few legs with half a bar on, never gonna be able to concentrate.”

McGuinness even said he’d buy the lad ‘a set of blinkers’ if he’s back next year.
“God knows what he were doing on the intervals.”
Fans were in hysterics at the star’s joking video, flooding it with laughing emojis.

Others added that Littler ‘played amazing but Humphries smashed it’.
Another put: “What an amazing player Littler is!! Incredible!! A gripping final. Humphries was just too consistent for Littler. Well done to him.”
Littler bagged himself a whopping £200,000 before tax for making it to the final after beating 2018 champ Rob Cross in the semi-final and seeing off the likes of Christian Kist, Andrew Gilding, Matt Campbell and Brendan Dolan, as well as his very own hero Raymond van Barneveld.
He added after the defeat last night: “Fair play to Luke, he deserves it.
"I've got to the final, I might not get to another final for the next five to 10 years, we don't know, but I can say I'm a runner-up and now I just want to go and win it.”
