“Well I am now.
“I’ve figured, I’ve had a picture where I’ve played the lead and had incredible reviews.

“The only parts I’m liable to get now are 90-year-old men. Or maybe 85.
“They’re not going to be the lead.
“You don’t have leading men at 90, you’re going to have young handsome boys and girls.
“So I thought I might as well leave with all this.”

During an appearance on the Graham Norton show, Caine told a hilarious story about a hostess that pronounced his name wrong, and fans can’t unhear it.

He said: “I was making a picture in the Philippines, and we’re in Manila, and we were invited to this very posh and expensive house for a party.
“I’m being introduced to people and getting a drink and all that.
“And the hostess is standing over there, and she’s looking at me rather nastily, considering I am a guest.
“So I went over to her, and she said ‘are you a drug dealer?’
