Ant-Man, The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Clueless, Parks and Recreation – Paul Rudd has a huge list of credits we’d all be happy to see him appear in again.
But the one role he most recently reprised just seems to be that next level of iconic as fans make the same observation.
Rudd recently appeared in a new advert for the hyped-up Nintendo Switch 2.

The video game company is really ramping up the excitement for the new console ahead of the launch date in June. New details about the much-anticipated product were revealed earlier this week, with it set to be bigger and faster with new features.
But what isn’t necessarily new is the Marvel actor doing an ad for Nintendo.

To fill those of us who weren’t even born yet, Rudd appeared in commercial for the Super Nintendo (SNES) all the way back in 1991. Yes, they weren’t exactly in the dark ages then, they did have game consoles, kids.
In that original ad, the actor wore a long black jacket, beaded necklace, and a particularly interesting hair style that gave ultimate 90s energy as he went up to a drive-in cinema with his SNES in hand.

Rudd then hooked it up with the big screen to play games like Sim City and Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past before the famous slogan rounded it off: “Now you’re playing with power.”
And iconically, the star sported the exact same look as he hooked up a Nintendo Switch 2 to play in a living room with comedians Joe Lo Truglio and Jordan Carlos, and a kid referring to him as ‘Uncle Paul’.
While the others tease him about his mad get-up and 90s flair, it’s all pretty cheesy but somehow, it works. With them showing off the new GameChat feature with a bit of Mario Kart World, the ad ends this time with: “Now we’re playing together.”
And if anything, this whole 90s throwback is a clear example of the long running joke that the star just simply doesn’t seem to age.

Reacting to the 56-year-old in the ad, fans pointed out on X: “It’s convenient that Paul Rudd doesn’t age.”
“Good god, Deadpool was right Paul Rudd doesn’t age,” one wrote.
As a second quipped: “Another day goes by where Paul Rudd doesn't age.”
“Ok, now this is cool! Does Paul Rudd age,” a third said.
“Whoa, okay there’s no way they actually brought Paul Rudd back after almost 35 years. And making him have the same 90s hair he did before,” another fan noted. “He don’t even look that much different because he’s Paul Rudd. He don’t age!”
