Pete Davidson has revealed how much he's forked out on getting rid of his tattoos, and how much further he's got to go.
Earlier this year the comedian unveiled his new look with his skin significantly more free from the various images he's had inked onto his body over the years.
He told Jimmy Fallon that he had about 200 tattoos and was going through the 'horrible' process of getting them removed, and explained that getting them removed was more painful than getting them in the first place.
Even worse, Davidson said 'you can’t get in the sunlight' for weeks afterwards and it's a process that has to be done '12 more times' to fully get rid of the tattoo.
He's made it pretty clear that getting the tattoos off has not been a pleasant experience at all, so it may be worth thinking twice before you get some ink of your own.
Davidson debuted his tattoo-less look in a campaign for Reformation (Reformation) Speaking to Variety, the actor said he'd 'already spent like 200K and I’m like 30 percent done', so he's still got a long way to go before he gets them completely lasered off.
He admitted that his tattoos remind him of a time in his life when he was a 'sad person that was very unsure', and that's spurred him to get rid of them.
He said: "I used to be a drug addict and I was a sad person, and I felt ugly and that I needed to be covered up.
"So I’m just removing them and starting fresh, because that’s what I think works best for me and for my brain.
"When I look in the mirror, I don’t want the reminder of ‘Oh yeah, you were a f**king drug addict. Like, that’s why you have SpongeBob smoking a joint on your back'."
He said he wants any tattoos he gets to have 'meaning'.
He's decided to remove his tattoos and 'start fresh' (Rosalind O'Connor/NBC via Getty Images) Davidson's arms, hands and neck are pretty much tattoo-free at this point, though it's a lengthy process to get them removed which the Saturday Night Live star compared to 'putting your arm on a grill and burning off a layer'.
As painful as it is for him, it's all part of his healing journey.
Over the years Davidson's tattoos have included the names of a number of his exes, to the point that his tattoo artist John Mesa told him to 'stop with the girlfriend tats' until he was sure a relationship was going to last.
Dr. Roy Geronemus, who has removed many of Davidson's tattoos, previously told LADbible that the tattoos with black ink were the hardest to remove, and that it's got a lot easier to remove them than it used to be.
The doctor explained that it used to take years to properly remove a tattoo, and the most common tattoos he removed were people's names.
