It might be fair to say that in being married to a comedian, you can expect to have the odd joke made about you or to be put in for a roast every now and again.
But you still probably wouldn’t imagine it to get very personal on a very public level.
Yet Scarlett Johansson’s husband, Colin Jost, made a joke about her vagina on the very highly watched Saturday Night Live.

And the star has now admitted she was left ‘feeling faint’ after the ‘vulgar’ jibe.

During the infamous sketch comedy show’s Christmas episode, Jost was hosting his ‘Weekend Update’ segment with Michael Che as they read out wild jokes they’d never laid eyes on before.
Johansson has been the butt of jokes numerous times before and while she said producers had informed her there was going to be a ‘vagina joke’, she didn’t realise it would be about her.

And Jost also looked a little alarmed when he saw her name flash up on the screen as he began to say: “I want to dedicate this next joke to my boo, Scarlett Johansson.”

With the camera showing the Black Widow actor cowering backstage, he pointed out that she was ‘so genuinely worried’.
The jokes weren’t too bad to begin with but later in the segment, Jost had to read out from the autocue: “Costco has removed the roast beef sandwich from its menu - but I ain't trippin'... I've been eating roast beef every night since my wife had the kid."

Johansson looked totally mortified as she gasped an ‘oh my god’ and Jost added through gritted teeth: "No, no, I'm just playin', baby. You know I don't go downtown!"
Seemingly uncomfortable for the pair of them, Johansson admitted in a recent interview for InStyle that she found the joke ‘so vulgar’.
"I just can't believe that they went there. I was like - it was so gross. It was really gross. And, like, old-school gross,” the star added.
Having been fine with the idea of a ‘vagina joke’ before she knew Che had aimed it at her, it all changed when the Costco photo flashed up.

“I was like, 'No! No, Michael!'" the mum-of-two recalled.
Johansson went on to say she felt pretty frazzled when the cameras then turned onto her face.
"The fact that it took on a full To Catch a Predator-style reveal or whatever, that was so intense,” she said. “All of a sudden, it was like a whole bunch of people holding up lights, and a guy with a video camera. They were waiting for me to react. I felt insane. I was like, 'I think I'm going to faint.'"
And as she told Jost her nerves were ‘shot’ afterwards, he admitted: “Me too.”
