Terri Irwin has made a heartbreaking admission about life since the death of her husband Steve.
The Crocodile Hunter died on 4 September 2006 after a freak accident during filming in the Great Barrier Reef when he was pierced in the chest by a stingray barb.
Steve and Terri had been married for 14 years, after meeting in 1991 while he was working at Queensland Reptile and Fauna Park (now known as Australia Zoo).

He once revealed on his TV show that it was ‘love at first sight’ when he spotted her in the crowd of one of his crocodile demonstrations.
The pair had two children together, Bindi, 26, and Robert, 21, who have both grown up as zookeepers and conservationists as well as both working in TV, just like their dad.
And as the family keep Steve’s legacy alive, Terri has revealed that she’s never seen a need to date anyone else.
The 60-year-old told Stellar Magazine: “I’m sure there’s a lot of lovely people out there in the world, but I did find my happily ever after, and I think I still have a lot of love in my life.”

She went on to admit: “So I’m lonely for Steve, but I’m not lonely. I never mourn being on my own and not being in a relationship. I think we need to say that.
“I think women are still amazing, fulfilled, incredible people – even if you never marry, if you have four kids, or two kids, or no kids.
“There are no rules.”
Terri also added that Bindi is a ‘way better mother’ than she ever was. “I say that with sincere admiration,” she said.
Bindi married Chandler Powell in 2020 and share a four-year-old girl, Grace Warrior Irwin Powell. The couple work at Australia Zoo where the Crocodile Hunter’s daughter is chief executive.

Meanwhile, snaps of Robert recently went viral after he did a campaign for Bonds underwear.
And Terri also commented on the TV presenter’s rise as a bit of a ‘sex symbol’.
“Steve used to say to me, ‘It wasn’t until I started filming and became the Crocodile Hunter that girls looked at me twice',” she recalled.
“He was 30, by the way, when we got married. So he goes, ‘Where were they?’ So on one hand, cool for Robert to have flattering attention, and on the other hand, it’s a lot.

“And Steve used to say to me, ‘I’m glad we met before I was the Crocodile Hunter, because I know 100 percent for sure that you just love me’.”
