Former WBO middleweight and super-middleweight champion Chris Eubank has hit back at ex-footballer Paul Gascoigne following a crude story he told on television.
On Sunday 16 April, a new series of Scared of the Dark premiered via Channel 4.
The show sees eight celebrities - such as Eubank, Gascoigne and Love Island’s Chloe Burrows - being plunged into darkness for a staggering 180 hours.

Hosted by Danny Dyer, Scared of the Dark forces the contestants to eat, sleep, and live in the dark for five nights. It’s bizarre but utterly binge-worthy.
The Guardian might have described it as ‘the stupidest reality show of all time’ but it’s already provided fans with some seriously shocking talking points.
And one of the contestants, former England midfielder Gascoigne, is one of them.

While he hasn’t violated the show’s rules or landed himself in any hot water, he has spouted a story which Eubank believes wasn’t appropriate to be told on the reality TV series.
In an aired conversation, Gascoigne first teased a ‘sexy story’. However, he instead told Eubank and Burrows about the time he 'put an arm around Maggie Thatcher'.
“Oh, god almighty, I felt myself getting hard,” he said. “And I thought, ‘Quick, I better just release this’. So I just quickly went to the toilet and just whacked one out.”

“Horny bit just come out of us and I wasn’t going to walk with a boner on so I just quickly…” Gascoigne added.
While Burrows found the story hilarious, Eubank had a bit of a different reaction.
Visually unimpressed, he told Gascoigne, “It’s so unfortunate that it’s probably true. OK, so let’s lift up the octave or the class. Let’s lift it up.
“What you’ve done there, Paul, is that’s your pub talk, man. That’s not for here.”

However, in order to defuse the situation, Eubank added: “But then maybe I’m killing the party. Yeah, so do what you want. I’m very tired. I need to sleep.”
Later on in a piece-to-camera, Eubank called Gascoigne a ‘beautiful man’. He also made it clear that he admired the footballing legend as Paul — rather than his larger-than-life ego ‘Gazza’.
“I don’t know Gazza. And I don’t want to know Gazza. Because that’s drinking. That’s all that muck.

“He’s brazen. He’ll drink you underneath the table. He is a legend — [the story] is not legendary.
"What’s legendary is Paul. Paul and what he did.
“He was a superstar in football. I want to know Paul. He’s a beautiful man,” he added.
Following the exchange, fans have taken to Twitter to have their say on Gascoigne’s bizarre story.
One user sided with Eubank and was also not impressed with the story.
They wrote: “Absolutely disgusting filth Paul Gascoigne and C4. We don’t need trash like that on TV, assisting in degrading our society.”
Another agreed and said: “I’m not sure if it’s ethical having him on #ScaredOfTheDark”
However, some users saw Gascoigne’s comments as hilarious. One wrote: “Gazza is going to break Chris Eubank”.
Another wrote: “I’m not gonna sleep now knowing Gazza thrashed one out to Margaret Thatcher.”
A third couldn’t believe the story was only just getting aired now.
“How have I just heard now that Paul Gascoigne has confessed to having a w*** over Margaret Thatcher while in Downing Street?” they wrote.
Scared of the Dark will conclude on Thursday 20 April at 9pm on Channel 4.
