British DJ and producer Craig David (41) is making headlines this week with his next foray outside of music, announcing his debut book ‘What’s your vibe?’ via Twitter yesterday (25 May).
The book, set for release on 13 October 2022, will not be a ‘traditional memoir’ or self-help book, but a ‘series of lessons’ which helped David throughout his life which he hopes readers will resonate with.

In 2000, David found instant success with the release of his first album Born to Do it, which debuted at the top of the UK charts, and produced four top-10 singles. Prior to his solo projects, he was working with Garage groups Damage and Arthur Dodger, bringing him to the attention of Wildstar Records, who later distributed the record.
His successive albums found similar success, both in the UK and the US, with Slicker than your Average (2002) and The Story Goes… (2005) both dotted with singles holding long shelf lives on the top-10 charts. The same can be said for his four later albums, including Trust Me (2007), Signed Sealed Delivered (2010), Following my Intuition (2016), and The Time is Now (2018). Over the years, he has collaborated with an excess of A-list musicians, including Kaytranada, The Backstreet Boys, and KSI.
His new album, skillfully titled ‘22’, is set for release in September 2022, following a delay in release thanks to production and manufacturing problems.
As well as bookselling, David has a number of projects outside of music, debuting his TV-presenting skills on French reality show Les Anges 2 in 2011. He also took a post as judge on the TV talent show Walk the Line in 2021, and frequents the Capital FM airwaves with his show TS5, an adaption of the so-called ‘most exclusive pre-parties’ hosted at his penthouse in Miami.

Said penthouse, sold by David in 2019 at a reduced sum of $3.3 Million, boasted views of downtown Miami from two bedrooms and two bathrooms. His decade residency there came to an end, as its luxuriousness was apparently ‘distracting him from his music’, motivating a responsible move back to the UK. He was last reported to be living in a £6 Million North London home, bought soon after his return to home turf.
