Prolific British actor Damian Lewis has recently become the apple of the public eye, as he announced he’ll be performing two live shows ahead the release of his debut album.
The 51 year old started to pursue his passion for music after he started dating musician Alisson Mosshart, following the death of his wife Helen McCroy last year.
However, despite his interest in music, Lewis is definitely better known for his phenomenal acting career.

Lewis attended Eton College where he became interested in acting at the age of 16, which led him on to graduating from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 1993.
After leaving drama school, Lewis was employed as a stage actor for the Royal Shakespeare Company, playing roles such as Posthumus in Shakespeare's "Cymbeline."
He was also doing acting on screen, with his debut role being in the English drama series "A Touch of Frost" back in 1993.
Lewis got his breakthrough role starring as Major Richard Winters in the renowned Second World War series, Band Of Brothers.

Director Steven Spielberg recruited Lewis for the miniseries after seeing his performance as Laertes in Jonathan Kent's production of "Hamlet".
Band of Brothers was his first role doing an American accent which would of course open plenty of doors for his future career.
Skipping forward to the present, Lewis is now pursuing his interest in music. The acting legend has had a passion for music since childhood, playing guitar since he was 12.
In a press conference when he confirmed he’d be performing on both the 4th and 7th of August, Lewis mentioned 'I’m looking forward to getting out there and playing the songs I’ve written and been recording for my debut album.’
