An expert has revealed where exactly you should keep your eggs - though it comes with a catch.
Arguably one of the most commonly daily eaten foods are eggs as there are a few meals that would be incomplete without them - like a good ole' Full English.
However, many kitchens have a different system of where exactly you should store them - though this isn't just limited to just eggs.
The same argument has been applied to fruit, chocolate and ketchup - with the top dogs at Heinz having to step in to answer that dilemma.

But there has never been a clear solution, until now at least.
An expert has revealed that there is now, in fact, a real answer where eggs are concerned.
As for the other ones, you’ll have to argue amongst yourselves.

According to the Mirror, it is estimated that, as a nation, we consume 202 eggs per person per year…those poor chickens!
And whilst hens in the UK are vaccinated against salmonella, meaning that it is actually okay to keep your eggs out of the fridge and just in your kitchen, experts have revealed that the best place to keep them is actually in the fridge.
This trusted advice does, however, come with a little warning.
For the perfect egg, you must take it out of the fridge at least 30 minutes before you’re wanting to cook it.

Break this rule and you could be at risk of cracking the shell or, if you are a baker, it could lessen the egg's binding abilities.
And that, of course, is the very last thing we would want.
In fact, the best place in the fridge to store your eggs is towards the back of the middle shelf - so the fridge door is a big no-no since it is regularly subject to temperature fluctuations.
Talking to the Mirror, Anna Williams, Head Pastry Chef of an award-winning restaurant, Fallow, says: "This location in the fridge is best to keep the eggs at a constant temperature and the cardboard boxes provide the perfect level of protection, plus they will have the expiry date on them."

The Food Standard Agency also agrees, adding that eggs should be stored in a cool place, aka the fridge, and in the same box that they came in to cushion them and prevent any breakages.
And let’s face it there’s nothing worse than trying to clean up a flattened raw egg on the floor.
But this isn’t where the egg tips end - oh no, we’re really out here saving the day.

Other advice includes keeping them away from strong smelling food as the shell is porous, and also keeping them away from raw meat.
