Following the events of Captain Marvel, Danvers has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence.
But not so fast, as unintended consequences have her shouldering the burden of trying to save a destabilised universe.
And when her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with Kamala Khan and Monica Rambeau, which, in turn, form the Marvels.
Yes, it’s the big screen crossover we’ve been waiting for, people.

The Marvels is directed by Nia DaCosta, the MCU’s youngest director.
Kevin Fiege, President of Marvel Studios, who is known to scout new impressive talent, said that DaCosta has combined her creative prowess with her deep understanding of the Marvel universe to bring this film to life.
“She works nonstop and is a fountain of ideas,” he said, as per Vanity Fair.
“She would spend time in between setups pitching me other movies and other ideas and other stories, because that’s the way her mind works.”

The director, who previously worked on the movie Candyman, was taught by none other than her mentor, Jordan Peel, how to reframe an existing franchise through her perspective.
In other words, she's the right woman for the job.
“One of the most important things I learned from him is how to be fearless and how to navigate studio stuff,” she told Vanity.
“He’s not just critically successful, he’s incredibly commercially successful as well, and that has its own pressure, obviously. He was really good at holding both those things at once.”
