Saw Jigsaw actor praised for response after kid asked 'do you want to play a game'
There is something to be said about a well-feared movie villain who turns out to be the sweetest person in real-life. Which Tobin Bell can relate to.
The 84-year-old actor made a career move all the way back in 2004, and little did anyone know that 22 years later, he'd have completed nine movies in the franchise, and developed a cult following for his gory role as a man who enjoys dishing out pain to those he deems as sinners.
However, despite his character - madman, Jigsaw - Bell was once caught on camera with a surprising fan of his, which ended in him getting praised for how he handled the situation.
Ahead of the release of Saw X in September 2023, lines of people were waiting to get a chance to meet the man of the famed movie series.

To be honest, it's a little scary that grown ups want to see a bloke who killed dozens of people on-screen via the most disturbing methods known to man - but hey, if that's your jam, who are you to be judged?
But maybe we draw the line at adults being fans of the flicks? Because when a little child appeared in the queue to meet Bell, if he was really anything like Jigsaw, it would be game over.
Thankfully, he seems to be nothing like that in real life - which is a huge relief.
In a video shared on social media, a kid can be seen approaching the actor at a meet and greet event and says: "I have a question."
To which Bell says: "Yeah, fire away. I have a question too."
Of course, there’s only one question you’d ever ask him which is his famous catchphrase from the series.
The kid asks: "Do you want to play a game?"
Bell then replies: "I do want to play a game. But let's start with a pound, ok?"
The pair fist bumps one another before Bell continues: "Ok, now, that's the start of the game, now, give me your hand.”
The pair then shake hands in the clip.
This amazing clip was shared on social media and has been viewed thousands of times since.
People have been flocking to the comments section to praise Bell for the way he interacted with the young fan, especially because he’s such a far cry away from the menace he plays on screen.
Also, Bell and I share a birthday (August 7). How cool is that?
One user said: "Tobin is such a nice guy. Absolutely love actors who are just flat out nothing like the characters they play."
Another commented: "I'm amazed he wasn't like "Omg kid you watch my Saw movies!?" Lmao he's a nice guy though."
"Awww sweet I wish I was one of them kids I love Tobin bell," a third penned.
Someone else went on to share their own experience of meeting the actor, adding: "Got to meet Tobin when he came down to the Starbucks I was working at downstairs from the convention he was at. Super nice guy.
"Told him I was a huge fan of the franchise. Even brought up a movie he was in called Serial Killer that I remember seeing as a kid on TV & his eyes lit up because a fan brought up something other than Saw."
