People are pretty disturbed by a clip from the new erotic thriller starring Jenna Ortega and Martin Freeman.
Miller’s Girl landed in US cinemas on 26 January after a whole lot of talk about the film featuring the 21-year-old and 52-year-old at its centre.
The synopsis for the Jade Halley Bartlett-directed thriller reads: “A talented young writer (Ortega) embarks on a creative odyssey when her teacher (Freeman) assigns a project that entangles them both in an increasingly complex web.

“As lines blur and their lives intertwine, professor and protégé must confront their darkest selves while straining to preserve their individual sense of purpose and the things they hold most dear.”

As Americans start watching the film in cinemas, there’s been plenty of talk on X about ‘that Jenna Ortega scene’.

And Brits have quickly picked it up to ask: “WHAT THE F**K IS MR MADDENS FROM NATIVITY! DOING.”
In the viral clip, Freeman slowly bends Ortega over a bed as she holds a book, stroking her silk dress and hair before leaning over to grab her hand.
The scene is narrated by the Wednesday star who writes a rather, well, inappropriate story that the teacher tells her not to submit.
And then as the trailer shows, the complicated relationship looks to bring him down and have him fired.

It’s a pretty different role that fans are used to seeing Ortega in, as the seductive drama features some steamy scenes.
Viewers were quick to react to the clip on X as they put: “The hell is going on here.”
Many were pretty creeped out by the scene as they say they’ve ‘seen enough’ and others ‘still can’t watch’.

Others called it ‘gross’ and ask: “Am I the only one that thinks this is weird?”
And as some people are freaked out by the age difference of the stars in the scene, many point out ‘that’s the point in the movie’.
Miller’s Girl is yet to have a release date for the UK while it goes viral online.

Following its US release and premiere at Palm Springs Film Festival earlier in January, the film sits with just 33 percent on the Rotten Tomatoes’ Tomatometer.
One critic even wrote: “My worst list of 2024 starts right here.”
Another put: “A harmless superficial thriller that loses steam pretty quickly.”
And others said: “What cannot be denied is that the film is well shot and that Ortega, like Freeman, fulfil their roles without much fault, which, for many spectators, will be more than sufficient.”
Will you be giving it a watch when it comes out here?
