Serial killers in slasher movies usually have one thing in common: they're unnaturally fast.
While their victims run around - bloody and panting - Michael Myers and the like just casually stride behind them, popping up when they least expect it.
But what if that serial killer was a... sloth. You know, the animal that is famous for being slow and lazy.

Yep, that's the premise of the new comedy horror Slotherhouse.
I mean, you've got to give them points for originality.
The movie follows college student Emily Young (Lisa Ambalavanar), who adopts a cute little sloth named Alpha to help her become president of her sorority.

But when bodies slowly begin to pile up in the Sigma Lambda Theta house, Emily and her sorority sisters start to suspect the deaths are being caused by their new sloth-y housemate.
As you can expect, the trailer and the entire concept of the movie has left people in stitches.
"I wanna watch this in slow motion!" one person commented.
Another added: "This made my day you cannot outrun a fkin sloth. Fact!"

A third said: "This is gonna be one of the horror movies of all time."
While others pointed out that this is what happens when Hollywood writers go on strike.
"We are literally at a point in time where the old gag movies they’d come up with to use in cheesy shows are ACTUALLY being made," one person commented.
Another suggested: "There’s a writer strike? I couldn’t tell."

And others agreed that this movie will sit firmly in the 'so bad it's good' category, which is exactly what the film makers are betting on, right? RIGHT?
"That looks so bad. I can’t wait," one person commented.

"Ok! Fine!......as a connoisseur and enthusiast of 'bad' film. This looks like it may actually be a gem and the makers knew what they were doing. Lol," added another.
"At least its not some remake. Good for them," added a third.
Slotherhouse co-stars Sydney Craven, Olivia Rouyre, Bianca Beckles-Rose, Andrew Horton, Sutter Nolan, Grace Patterson, Milica Vrzić, Annamaria Serda, Tiff Stevenson, Stefan Kapičić, Kelly Lynn Reiter, and Rudi Rok as the voice of Alpha.
The film is written by Bradley Fowler and directed by Matthew Goodhue.
It will be released in cinemas - yes CINEMAS - on August 30.
