Netflix fans who loved new thriller series Bodkin have been urged to watch an Irish film, which has been labelled a ‘10/10 gem of a movie’.
Bodkin aired on the streaming site last month and has received a strong reaction from viewers - racking up 1.9 million views in the last week.
The series is set in the fictional town of Bodkin on the Irish coast and sees Will Forte take on the lead role of Gilbert Power, an American podcaster who has travelled to the idyllic town to investigate a cold case involving the disappearance of three people.

He is joined by investigative journalist Dubheasa ‘Dove’ Maloney (played by Siobhán Cullen) who has been sent there on an assignment following the death of her source, a government whistleblower.
The further they begin to dig, the more it becomes apparent that this idyllic town is determined to hide its darkest secrets.
If you've already finished the series and are desperate to find something else to fill the Bodkin-shaped hole in your life look no further, as fans believe they have found the perfect replacement while you keep your fingers crossed for a second season.

Taking to Reddit, one viewer asked for recommendations for similar films or TV series and there was one clear recommendation, The Guard.
Starring The Banshees of Inisherin's Brendan Gleeson alongside Avengers Endgame's Don Cheadle, Kingsman's Mark Strong and Game of Thrones' Liam Cunningham, The Guard is an Irish comedy-thriller from 2011.
Watch the trailer below:
Gleeson stars as unorthodox cop Sgt Gerry Boyle who finds himself paired up with FBI agent Wendell Everett (Cheadle) as they're tasked with taking down an international drug smuggling ring. Meanwhile Cunningham and Strong star as your typical bad guy drug traffickers.

We won't spoil too much of the plot, but despite the obvious mismatch between the two officers make a good team, thanks to the chemistry between Gleeson and Cheadle.
The Guard is also rated highly by critics, receiving an impressive score of 94 percent on review aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes.
Reviewers have praised the cast and plot, with the London Evening Standard writing that the film made most of the year's 'American comedies look impoverished' while Tribune News Service added that it was a 'modern spaghetti Western on the windswept wastes of Ireland'.
