Jon Bernthal has sent fans into overdrive after he teased his return as The Punisher.
Back in 2023, it was announced that Bernthal would be reprising the role of Frank Castle for the new Marvel series, Daredevil: Born Again on Disney+.
The actor embodied the role for over two dozen episodes before it was cancelled back in 2019.

At the time, fans demanded that the hit show be saved and Bernthal given the opportunity to carry on the story.
Many fans were worried that their pleas had been unsuccessful, until news last year revealed that Bernthal would be reprising the role once more.
While we've not heard much since then, a few set images were released earlier this year and the actor shared a teaser on Monday (11 March) which has caused fans to lose it.
Bernthal posted an image of the fictional children's book One Batch, Two Batch, which is the story that his character's daughter Lisa, chooses every night before bed.

And fans have gone wild, with one writing on Instagram: "PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!! TELL ME A 3RD SEASON OR PUNISHER MOVIE WITH YOU IS COMING OUT."
While another said: "Bro you CANNOT do this to me. Is papa Punisher coming back or WHAT."
And a third added: "Does this mean what I think it means? Is this a sign?"
Meanwhile a fourth wrote: "AAAAHHHH!!! No way!! Is this really happening finally?? Please please please please please come back in Daredevil Born Again!"

The new series will be based on the classic Daredevil story from 1986, which was written by Frank Miller.
The exact plot - and whether it will differ from the original - has not yet been revealed.
But the series is expected to be much longer than previous Marvel shows.

While they tend to be between six and nine episodes long, Born Again will span an impressive 18 eps.
Bernthal is also set to join British actor Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio for the upcoming revival.
Like The Punisher, Cox's character was cast aside in 2018, with fans hoping he would return to their screens at some point.

Speaking previously about the new show, Cox said the revival had been boosted by fans begging for it to return.
“Whatever happens to my career going forward from this point on, I owe most of it to the ‘Save Daredevil’ campaign,” Cox explained to Marvel.com.
We can't wait to hear more on this!
