Spider-Man fans were left feeling deflated after Tom Holland revealed what his 'big announcement' was.
Holland shared a cryptic post to his Instagram story yesterday (5 February) which informed his 66.1million followers that he had some substantial news to share - so obviously, everyone's spider senses started tingling.
Dedicated supporters had their fingers, toes and webs crossed that the British actor, 27, was announcing an update on Spider-Man 4.
Holland has made it clear that he's more than happy to slip back into the red and blue suit - as long as it's 'worthwhile'.

He revealed that he had been 'actively engaging in conversations about what it could potentially look like for a fourth rendition of my character' in December, saying that he felt 'very protective' over the protagonist Peter Parker.
"I feel very, very lucky that we were able to work on a franchise that got better with each movie, that got more successful with each movie, which I think is really rare, and I want to protect his legacy," the Uncharted star said.
"I love the character and the people I get to work with. So, I would love to tell another story, but I’ll only tell it if we can find the right one."
On Instagram, Holland uploaded a clip of him taking a few swings on a golf course alongside the words: "Big announcement tomorrow!"

While he wasn't stood there in a spider suit or anything, some fans appeared to jump to the conclusions that the post could be a film update.
So, you can imagine the disappointment when Holland finally made his announcement today (6 February) and revealed that he would be staying in London for the foreseeable future to work on a West End production of Romeo and Juliet at the Duke of York’s Theatre for 12 weeks from 11 May until 3 August - which you can get priority tickets for here.
He won't be shooting a web from his wrists, but he might be shooting bullets at a few of the Capulets who get in between him and his one true love.

A few social media users, however, made their disappointment known.
One said: "So no Spider-Man news huh?", while another commented: "No Spider-Man I guess."
A third said: "When’s his big announcement?"

While a fourth attempted to look on the brighter side, writing: "That’s cool, I guess, I mean it’s no Spider-Man 4 but hey, I like Shakespeare."
But others reminded people he isn't just a superhero and that he can take on other projects too.
Someone else said: "I find it really funny how a lot are saying ‘this
was the big announcement?’ Holland didn’t even hint at what it was, he only said it was a big announcement and everyone instantly went to Spider Man."

Another person wrote: "He stole our hearts with Peter Parker, he’s going to ruin our lives with Romeo Montague!"
While one commenter wrote: "Can't wait to see his performance."
