To fans’ delight, The Masked Singer on ITV has returned, meaning that viewers have been left in a frenzy on social media in an attempt to discover who is indeed “behind the mask”.
The show sees celebrities dressing up in large, colourful costumes and performing cover songs to a panel of judges who try to work out what their real identity is.
The reality show is based on the South Korean show King of Mask Singer, which has since spread worldwide and has at last reached us.
Who is Firework on The Masked Singer?
A fair few stars on the show have already been revealed on the series, reducing the number of contestants left before The Masked Singer 2021 is revealed. One of the contestants left is “Firework”, but who could they be?
Firework blew fans away with their cover of “Domino” by Jessie J, before revealing that they’ve “always been a pocket rocket, a total bundle of energy”.
“But that’s just my style. Maybe that’s because fireworks are designed to make people smile,” the sparkly character explained.
In their intro VT, a few clues were shown, including a wooden human and dog figurine on the shelf, before adding that “you normally find us in the sky, but this one also lit things up in another fashion.”
Finally, they said: “I light up the street with a different kind of flash.”
The judges guessed that the eccentric character could be Spice Girls’ Mel C, Love Island’s Molly-Mae Hague, Jodie Kidd and Michelle Keegan.
Fans took to Twitter to make their guesses, predicting that the character could be Pixie Lott due to Firework’s voice.
The VT also mentioned fashion references, which would tie in with Lott due to the launch of her clothing line with Lipsy London, and the fact she has modelled for brands like Baby G Watches.
