People baffled after realising Fred Again.. is part of the British aristocracy

Fans are losing their minds over the electronic DJ hailing from a British aristocratic background

People have been left well and truly baffled after realising Fred Again.. descends from a British aristocratic family.

While the 29-year-old British DJ first rose to fame in buzzing Boiler Room sets, he has since become one of the country's favourite disk jockeys fresh from a headline show at Coachella just last month.

But, it's clear that his origins are what have left people truly spinning.

Balham-born DJ, Fred Again.., has appeared to have taken the world by storm over the past few years and is a recurring name on pretty much every major festival line-up this year.

Whether that's Barcelona's Primavera, Manchester's Parklife or Somerset's Glastonbury - it's clear the star definitely has a loyal following.

However, it seems there's one particular fact about turntable whizz that not many people knew at all.

The DJ's real name is actually Frederick John Philip Gibson for starters - definitely not as punchy as his stage alias.

And he is also the son of King's Counsel barrister Charles Anthony Warneford Gibson and Mary Ann Frances Morgan, who are members of the British peerage.

Fred Again.. went to the same school as the Princess of Wales.

This means that, based on familial history, Fred himself is also a member of the British peerage.

And it doesn't stop there.

The 'Kyle' hit-maker is also the great-grandson of aristocrat and financier Shane O'Neill, 3rd Baron O'Neill and British socialite Ann Fleming - who later went on to marry James Bond creator Ian Fleming.

Imagine this family reunion.

He also attended the private boarding school, Marlborough College, based in Wiltshire, which boasts a star-studded alumni.

Previous students include comedian Jack Whitehall, singer Nick Drake, Chancellor of the Exchequer Rab Butler, the Princess of Wales and her sister Pippa Middleton.

Speaking to the Guardian in 2022 , he said that he bunked off lessons to go to the music room, adding: "I was fortunate enough to not even be slightly good at anything else. So I had clarity of focus."

And people have since been left baffled upon finding out Fred's background with one Twitter user writing: "I was today years old to find out that Fred Again.. is part of British royalty and aristocracy bruh."

"Damn, not me finding out that Fred Again.. is the grandson of British royalty?! Haha insane," penned another.

Fans were shocked upon finding out their favourite DJ was from an aristocratic background.

A third posted: "Fred Again..'s parents are both members of the British Peerage.

"The son of a King's Counsel barrister, and related to Shane O'Neill the dudes essentially royalty playing life on easy mode."

Others, however, seemed somewhat betrayed after finding out the news with one disgruntled fan tweeting: "Fred Again.. is a direct descendent of British royalty? Get in the f***ing bin."

"FRED AGAIN IS THE GRANDSON OF ROYALTY???! Noooooooooo," echoed a second.

A third chimed in: "Really fundamentally goes against my brand to be a Fred Again.. girlie but unfortunately I am not immune to the charms of an aristocrat nepo baby. I apologise to all the revolutionaries that I am letting down."

Some, though, weren't fussed at all: "Love his music and dgaf what his background is, I just thought it was a random fun fact haha."
