Gogglebox viewers were left disappointed by last night’s 'new' episode after discovering it wasn’t really new at all.
The current season wrapped up last night and its final episode was a compilation showing off the best bits from the past series.
The 'best bits' episode left some fans feeling a bit ripped off after they tuned in hoping to see a new episode, with one person even branding Channel 4 ‘sneaky’ over the episode.

Posting on Twitter one person said: “Why are you saying this is a new episode the series ended last week seen this one ages ago. Disgraceful and a lie. #Gogglebox.”
Another wrote: "Sneaky move using footage of Stephen Webb in a Queen jumper in the opening segments of the, as advertised ‘new’ Gogglebox tonight. Have to wait until September now.”
While a third added: “Starts watching Gogglebox as it’s advertised as new and not a repeat. Shows a TV show from three months ago.”

Someone else fumed: "Channel 4 are liars, they piece together clips from the last series to call it new. It’s a repeat #Gogglebox."
Although the current run concluded last night, fans won’t have to wait too long to get their fix as Celebrity Gogglebox kicks off next week.
Famous faces returning this year include Denise Van Outen, Nick Grimshaw, Mo Gilligan, Rylan Clark, Gyles Brandreth, Shaun Ryder, and Martin and Roman Kemp.

Lumley will be stepping in following the departure of Maureen Lipman, meaning she’ll be sharing a sofa with pal Gyles Brandreth.
Talking about joining the show, she said: "It is a huge honour and crosses something off my long bucket list."
While Brandreth joked: "The last time we watched the box together she fell asleep. I'm hoping that doesn't happen for Gogglebox."
