Heartstopper star Kit Connor has sparked rumours that he’s training for a role in a possible Young Avengers movie after his gym snaps went viral.
Connor, who is most well known for playing Nick Nelson in the comedy-drama Netflix series that dropped last year, recently had the internet buzzing after sharing a few pics with him and his personal trainer.
For lack of a better word, the actor was looking very much like a heart stopper.
And with his notable washboard abs sharp enough to cut a cake, many began to speculate if the actor is currently prepping for a role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) - perhaps for the Young Avengers?

One person wrote: “He joining the MCU or something what I miss?”

A third commented: “Oh…..oh i cannot speak at this time…lets just say he better be Hulkling.”
While another shared: “Now paint him green and give him wings.”

Hulkling is part of the Young Avengers and is style off The Hulk. However, in addition to the Hulk's incredible strength, this superhero also has shapeshifting abilities.
What's even more juicy is that Joe Locke, who played Connor's love interest in Heartstopper has been cast as Wiccan in the MCU TV show Agatha: Coven of Chaos.
And guess who has a romantic relationship with Wiccan in the comics? It's Hulkling.
Now that Phase 4 has officially kicked off in the MCU, hopefully, Connor’s prep means we’ll be introduced to a team of amateur vigilantes in the near future.

While there’s no official confirmation of a Young Avengers movie, we’ve so far met a whole bunch of starlets who are a part of the A team, including Haweye’s Kate Bishop, Stature in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Elijah Bradley (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier).
And perhaps Connor’s gains mean we’ll see a very young green angry monster gracing the screen soon.
In an interview with Inverse, Marvel Studios producer Stephen Broussard also touched upon the new generation in the most recent Ant-Man flick, explaining that the baton is being ‘passed’ down.

“I think it's very germane to the Ant-Man film because it's a generational film,” he said.
“The Ant-Man mantle gets passed down from Hank to Scott and now essentially to Cassie, who's almost more of like the new Ant-Man, even though she doesn't go by such, more so than the new Wasp.”
He added that the focus for Phase 4 is building the new generation of superheroes set to take the world by storm.
“I think that's one of the themes that the next generation reminds us and that would be exciting to explore with Cassie going forward, or with any of the new characters, like Kate Bishop," he said.

"People like that, who have inherited the mantle, and keeping to fight the fight, and make the world a better place."
