The Marathon Queen of Dundalk: Collette O'Hagan Leads the Parade
There were many parades around the country on Monday and manys a grand marshal but one stood above the rest. You might even say, that if being a grand marshal was a race, she’d win 1,000 times over! Collette O’ Hagan hailing from Dundalk took the high seat and oversaw the grand precession that was, the Dundalk parade on Monday 17th. Collette was a very worthy pick as she has recently completed her 1,000th marathon. That’s over 26,218 miles of blood sweat and tears over the years. Makes me feel bad about getting winded climbing the stairs in Tesco! 75 years young, Collette completed her 1,000th marathon back in October last year. Collette is a true inspiration to others and proves that with a healthy mind and sheer determination, anything is possible. An absolute champion and a worthy ambassador for the St. Patrick’s day events in Louth. C’mon da town!
