Since Kate Perry released her debut album Katy Hudson in 2001 at the age of 16, she has enjoyed several memorable Grammy performances, a few world tours and headlining the half-time show at the 2016 Super Bowl.
But this one live performance the singer did 15 years ago likely still remains in Perry's head, but for all the wrong reasons.
Looking back now, she must find it quite hilarious, but at the time, I'd imagine it was quite a terrifying incident.
So what are we talking about?

Well, the performance comes from 2008 where Perry was performing hits such as 'I Kissed a Girl' from her second album One of the Boys.
The clip that was shared by Perry herself on Instagram shows her singing at the Warped Tour, where she was one of the performing acts.
While singing, Perry decided to jump into the crowd and do a bit of crowd surfing, but it really didn't go to plan.
The short clip is very eventful as Perry was jostled and tugged at by excited fans, and at one point she is even upside down with her legs in the air.

She did eventually manage to get back upright, in what would have been a slightly terrifying situation for many.
But you could tell that Perry really was having the time of her life out there.
When the singer posted the wild clip to her Instagram account in 2021, fans reminisced about the concert.

Perry captioned the clip with "Ur favs could never," while also giving a little shout out to the Warped Tour, which is no longer a thing.
Many fans of the singer flocked to the comments section of the post to discuss Perry's wild antics.
One person said: "You were so crazy, I mean you still are but you were crazier."
A second added: "This is amazing! Young, wild and fearless."

The video was also uploaded to the Slam Dance Facebook page back in 2018 - with many people finding it hilarious.

Another wrote: "This made me laugh so much hahahahaha."

Katy Perry is doing a bunch of shows in Las Vegas in the coming months, and I for one would love to see similar scenes. As long as it is safe, of course.
