Lady Gaga turned to celibacy in fear of partners stealing creativity from her vagina

The star has revealed her alternative way to keep herself creative

Lady Gaga took a vow of celibacy over fears that sexual partners will steal her creativity via her vagina.

Yep, you read that right.

The 'Bad Romance' singer decided to abstain from marriage and sexual relations to allegedly keep up her sterling reputation of being arguably one of the most boundary-pushing pop-stars of our time.

However, there's clearly a cost for all her fame and success as the Grammy-award-winning star has since revealed her choice has left her 'perpetually lonely'.

Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, known professionally as Lady Gaga, once revealed the extreme lengths she'll go to to keep providing smash hit after smash hit for her fans or, as she calls them, her 'Little Monsters'.

From Born this Way to Artpop - it's clear that this artist has definitely exceeded everyone's expectations from when she first entered the scene back in with her breakthrough debut studio album, The Fame.

Since then, Gaga has released an avalanche of chart-topping singles including 'Just Dance', 'Poker Face' and 'Paparazzi'.

And, it seems, there's a secret behind the star's glory and it lies in a fairly alternative location.

Her vagina - to be very specific.

In an interview with Vanity Fair back in 2010, Gaga opened up about her creative process and exactly what she does to maintain a constant level of muse and inspiration throughout her career.

She started by outlining just how much her fans meant to her: "I love my fans more than any artist who has ever lived."

"I’ve looked every man that I’ve ever dated in the eye and every woman I’ve ever been friends with and there will never be something that I put before my fans," the 'Alejandro' star continued.

She explained her superstitions when it comes to sex.

Gaga went on to reveal that she has a 'relentless pursuit' in her to 'give everything' she's got to her adoring Little Monsters.

So much so that she once swore off sex altogether, admitting: "I don’t really have sex."

"I’m quite celibate now," she went on, "I don’t really get time to meet anyone."

She went on to outline the price of being such a well-known star: "I don’t trust anybody. And I don’t know if I ever will. But it’s okay. It’s the trade-off."

While revealing that she was 'perpetually lonely' when it comes to relationships, Gaga also understood that it's her 'condition as an artist'.

Part of this condition, Gaga added, has a lot to do with how she uses her energy before highlighting her superstitions surrounding sex.

"I also think I’m afraid of depleting my energy. I have this weird thing that if I sleep with someone they’re going to take my creativity from me through my vagina."

Since then, Gaga has gone on to star in a handful of blockbuster films, a bunch of critically-acclaimed television shows and has continued to put out banger after banger in her decade-spanning career.

Regardless of how it may sound, it's clear that whatever Gaga's doing in the creative department is definitely paying off.
