Lance Reddick’s wife has spoken out after the sudden and untimely death of her husband on Friday, 17 March.
It was announced that the John Wick actor had died of natural causes on Friday at the age of just 60, and now Stephanie Reddick has released a statement thanking everyone for their support, as well as addressing her husband’s tragic passing.
On her husband’s social media accounts, she wrote: “Lance was taken from us far too soon.

“Thank you for all your overwhelming love, support and beautiful stories shared on these platforms over the last day.
“I see your messages and can’t begin to express how grateful I am to have them.”
Reddick was probably best known for his performance as Baltimore police officer Cedric Daniels in the legendary drama The Wire, but also appeared in TV shows such as Frank, Oz, and Bosch.

In recent times, he’s featured in the John Wick series alongside Keanu Reeves, who plays the titular character.
Reddick was also a video game actor, with players in the Destiny franchise paying virtual respects within the game, remembering him for his role as Commander Zavala.
Continuing her statement, Stephanie wrote: “To the thousands of Destiny players who played in special tribute to Lance, thank you.
“Lance loved you as much as he loved the game.

Tributes to Reddick have poured in from around the TV and film world, with Reeves himself offering up thoughts for his friend.
In a joint statement alongside John Wick director Chad Stahelski, Reeves said: “We are deeply saddened and heartbroken at the loss of our beloved friend and colleague Lance Reddick.
"He was the consummate professional and a joy to work with.

"Our love and prayers are with his wife Stephanie, his children, family and friends.
“We dedicate the film to his loving memory.
“We will miss him dearly."

His co-star in The Wire Wendell Pierce also paid tribute, writing: “A man of great strength and grace.
"As talented a musician as he was an actor, the epitome of class.
“A sudden unexpected sharp painful grief for our artistic family.
“An unimaginable suffering for his personal family and loved ones.
“Godspeed my friend.
“You made your mark here.”
Reddick starred in all four John Wick films to date, playing the role of Continental Hotel concierge Charon.
The official Twitter account for the film wrote: “A kindhearted soul, a wonderful human, and a true friend.
"Be seeing you, Lance Reddick."
