James Argent Shows Off His Incredible 82kg Weight Loss
The Only Way Is Essex star was warned by doctors he was on 'death row' so Arg made some big changes.
James Argent is relishing in his 'Adele moment' after showing off his incredible weight loss.
The Only Way Is Essex star admitted his body ballooned out to an unhealthy level and he wanted to start the new year with a brand new look.
He's now revealed how dramatically different he looks following his surgery.
Writing on Instagram, Arg said: "After being 27 stone (171kg), depressed and having doctors telling me I was on 'death row' I made the decision to have gastric sleeve surgery with @wearetransform which reduced the size of my stomach and limited how much I could eat.
"I've since lost a total of 13 (82.5 kg) stone and now weigh 14 stone (90kg) which surpassed all expectations.
'I've never felt happier or healthier.
"I can honestly say that it was the best decision I've ever made. It spurred me on to be serious about my eating habits and exercise."
But getting the gastric sleeve surgery is only half the battle. People who want to embark on this route of weight loss still have to change the way they approach their diet.
Arg said he's put a lot of hard work and effort into being as fit as healthy as he possibly can be.
"Since my surgery, I've followed the advice from the team at Transform Hospital Group and stuck to a healthy diet with smaller portion sizes. I've also been training in the gym to make my body stronger.
"That swim across the English Channel is still on the cards.
"I'd like to thank everyone who has helped me on my weight loss journey. When I look in the mirror, I'm finally happy with the man looking back at me.
"I'm delighted to be starting 2022 as the best version of me. The future is looking bright, and I can't wait to live it."
People have flocked to congratulate Argent on his incredible transformation and many have said he will be a huge inspiration to others.
One person wrote: "This is just unbelievable mate. I'm so proud!!!!"
Another added: "Well done my darling you look like the boy I met 16 years ago. So proud of you you have a wonderful life ahead of you love you lots."
A third said: "AMAZING Arg....we'll done you. I know it's been a long, hard road. Looking forward to talking to you about it."
When Arg referred to the 'Adele moment' he was referring to when the singer posted a photo on Instagram that similarly showed she had lost a hell of a lot of weight.
