Photos of Johnny Depp unconscious after his alleged 'drug and alcohol benders' have been shown to Fairfax County Circuit Court in Virginia during his $50 million defamation lawsuit against Amber Heard.
While giving her testimony on 5 May, the Aquaman star unveiled disturbing images of her then-husband passed out following 'drug and alcohol benders'.
Heard explained to the court that Depp would get so intoxicated, he would have trouble remembering what happened.

She said: “He’d pass out, get sick, lose control of himself. People would pick him up and clean it and fix it.
“He wouldn’t either remember, or he would deny it, or he would accuse me of saying that this had happened when it didn’t. And there was no one to back me up.
She added: “[It was] just him, his employees, and everyone who had been taking care of him versus my word, and so I started to take pictures [to] say, ‘Look, this is happening'."

When explaining why she took the photos, the 36-year-old said she wanted to capture the actor hitting ‘rock bottom’ to urge him to undergo drug and alcohol rehabilitation.
Heard said one photo was taken 'after a several day bender' where Depp 'was on a drug binge'.

"There'd be a major blowup, he'd get sick, pass out and would feel awful and start a period of sobriety after that," she explained.
She added: “I understand enough about addiction to know that you have to hit rock bottom, you have to have some consequence for your actions, for your behaviour if you ever change to get better.”
Heard also revealed that the 58-year-old actor would pass out ‘a lot’ and even fall asleep ‘mid-conversation’.
Another photo shows the actor curled up by a bedside table in a hotel room while on The Lone Ranger press tour in Tokyo in 2013.

Heard also spoke of how Depp’s children had joined him on the press tour and noticed his drinking had escalated.
“He was drinking at the restaurant and the kids were kind of noticing, but not really sure what to make of it... Johnny became upset with me for judging him,” she said.

“Johnny screamed at me and all I could think was they were in the next hotel room.”
Heard also said before Depp passed out, he began calling her a ‘nagging b**th’ when she questioned his drinking habits.
Earlier in the trial, the Finding Neverland actor insisted the picture merely showed him sleeping, exhausted from the gruelling press tour schedule.
Depp is currently suing Heard over a 2018 op-ed she wrote in The Washington Post, which claimed she was a survivor of physical and emotional abuse.
While Heard never mentioned the actor by name, Depp says the article harmed his reputation and destroyed his film career.
