Will Smith's infamous slap at this year's Oscars was arguably the most viral moment of the year so far.

Although, the second most viral moment could go to Liam Payne, who was asked about the incident by a reporter on the day.
The One Direction singer replied with what one can only describe as a 'multi-accent', and viewers were left absolutely baffled.
Liam has now revealed just why he was able to use an apparent mix of 'Welsh, Irish, American and Scandinavian accents' in one go.

Talking to his followers on Instagram live, the 28-year-old said: “I’m good at accents, I pride myself on them!” he told his fans. “I just wish sometimes I could do my own.
“It was quite funny. I had asked the Good Morning Britain presenter, ‘Please don’t ask me too much because I’ve had a lot to drink and I’m under-ly educated about the Oscars’. The very first question the man asked me was, ‘What do you think about Will Smith?’.
“Now can you imagine being put on the spot in that moment and knowing, ‘I can’t say anything wrong because I’m gonna upset someone’?” he added, insisting he 'just did the best I could'.
“I actually read back what I said and I stand by what I said,” Liam claimed. “I’m just sorry it came out in so many accents!”
Liam admitted: “To tell you the truth, I was staying in a house with two German people, three people from Texas, one person from Liverpool and me. It sounded like one of those jokes people say about an Irishman and an Englishman walk into a pub – and that’s what came out.

“So, you know… what can I say? But it was funny, wasn’t it?”
“Oh, don’t have so many drinks and address the country,” he concluded.
Well, if we rewind to the 2022 Academy Awards, comedian Chris Rock suffered a smack to the face by Smith after he made a joke about his wife's Jada's hair, which is a result of alopecia.

Rock joked: "Jada, I love you. G.I. Jane 2, can’t wait to see you."
At first, Smith appeared to laugh it off while Pinkett Smith rolled her eyes, but then he walked onto the stage and slapped the comedian.
As Smith walked off stage after hitting Rock, the seemingly stunned comedian said: "Oh wow... wow. Will Smith just smacked the s**t out of me."

Will angrily replied to the comment, shouting: "Keep my wife's name out your f***ing mouth!"
Smith has since apologised for the incident and is now banned from the Oscars for 10 years.
