Rockstar Machine Gun Kelly recently recounted a traumatic suicide attempt while he was on the phone with fiancee Megan Fox - explaining how he simply 'snapped'.
The 32-year-old, also known as 'MGK', made the shock revelation in his newly-released Hulu documentary Life in Pink - which gives fans a glimpse into his life away from the cameras.
During the feature film, MGK details one of his lowest moments, which happened back in July 2020.

According to MGK, real name Colson Baker, the death of his father at the time - who passed away on the one year anniversary of his previous album release, sent him him into a dark spiral.
The culmination of this saw him put a gun in his mouth while on the phone to then girlfriend and Hollywood actress, Megan Fox.
“I wouldn’t leave my room and I started getting really, really, really dark. Megan went to Bulgaria to shoot a movie and I started getting this really wild paranoia. Like, I kept getting paranoid that someone was gonna come and kill me,” MGK recalled.

He adds that he would always sleep with a shotgun next to his bed and 'just f*****g snapped' that particular day.
“I called Megan. I was like, ‘You aren’t here for me.’ I’m in my room and I’m, like, freaking out on her. Dude, I put the shotgun in my mouth.
"And I’m yelling on the phone and like the barrel’s in my mouth. And I go to cock the shotgun and the bullet, as it comes back up, the shell just gets jammed. Megan’s like dead silent.”

Life in Pink also shows the important role that Fox has had in the artist's life from that moment on.
MGK glowingly describes how the Transformers star 'became the sun' to him, helping him to develop and grow. In January 2022 the pair got engaged in Puerto Rico, releasing a video of the proposal soon after on social media.
“That’s what helps me write those songs. ‘Cause it’s just like every fairytale that they never told you in school…the passion between us is just otherworldly,” MGK said of his future wife.

MGK and Fox have been dating since May 2020, which has seemingly coincided with him opening up more and talking at greater length about his past mental health struggles.
In December 2020, during a conversation with Interview magazine, he revealed for the first time that he was seeking therapy.
"Currently, my drug of choice is happiness and commitment to the art, rather than commitment to a vice that I believed made the art," Kelly said at the time.
"I'm taking steps. I had my first therapy session last Thursday. That's the first time I ever went, 'Hey, I need to separate these two people', which is Machine Gun Kelly and Colson Baker. The dichotomy is too intense for me."
